Courtyard by Marriott Houston North/Shenandoah reviews
13Absolutely horrible experience. Wish I could give 0 stars, what kind of shower doesnt have a door? And no, its not handicap accessible, they all have the same shower. The entire bathroom flooded, by the time I thought I dried everything up I put my socks on and had to go to my 7am meeting with soaking wet socks. Terrible design, will not be staying here or any other Courtyard until they change it.
My family and I stayed here for 3 n8ghts and had a great time. Staff was great especially Robert and Xavier. They helped us out in the lobby area when we ordered Starbucks. They made our stay a very welcomed stay and felt like we had friends there that we've known forever. Great employees those two. Thanks Robert and Xavier we appreciate your hospitality.
After regrettably booking this hotel room for five days, my price was around $500. Someone working for the hotel charge my card $4500 which prompted me in my bank to close my card. After speaking to management it was very clear they either didn’t want to solve this problem or it was intentional. After getting to the hotel and speaking to them to correct it in person, they once again charge 4500 instead of crediting the money back to the card. No managers were there for five days and they refused to come in and write a check or make it right. After returning home from the trip they again said they were no longer going to refund the money even though they overcharged $4000 to my card causing me to have to get another card shortly before the vacation and get it rushed to the house so it would be there in time. They refused to refund the money so we had to go through with fraudulent charges and after speaking to corporate they are privately owned therefore the legal action will be coming from us. Do not give them your information and do not trust them there are plenty of better hotels in the area and this privately owned establishment of Marriott is clearly sketchy
The room is nice but the walls are paper thin. I can hear the conversation the people are having in the next room and I can clearly hear their tv. I have stayed in many hotels and never had walls that were this thin.
Rooms are nice and comfortable. However, there could be more drawers, cabinets, ir places to put your clothes in and not to have to keep it on your luggage. Aldo, not much space to put your luggage other than in the floor and or in the middle of the room.
Very clean as always when I stay here. Staff is very professional, kind, and courteous. This will always be my hotel of choice when visiting Houston!
Mold and obvious water damage in the restroom. I do not recommend. There was no one at the desk to notify.
Had both dinner and breakfast here. As good as any upscale restaurant in terms of service and quality Eurydice, Gracie & Loise did an outstanding job at breakfast!
The room was fine and appeared clean. The shower had soap dispensers broken off shower wall and the interior lights had bulbs out. The TV streaming choices is very limited. If your not with Netflix your out of luck. I stayed 2 nights as its centrally located to our house.
Always my go to You can't go wrong Free breakfast or Free Coffee would be nice but it is at least Starbucks!
I have stayed at many Marriott hotels. This particular location was worst. Night clerk told me after I confirmed pool was in service. He said it was and I asked what time it would be open next am. 10am! That's pretty late if you like to get your exercise in with swimming some laps and a great stress reliever! Come morning the pool was closed, the wifi was terrible kept disconnecting my video conference call. I asked for assistance after I left my room with wifi problem. The gentleman that was working around in am said after I showed him in phone was connected and then shut down. I asked if there was a place with better reception or use bonvoy conference wifi, said it shouldn't matter. So I missed first 45 min of conference call until I sat by computer area and checked in conf call for 14 minutes!
Terrible stay here.
Great location. Clean room. Polite staff. Free parking. Breakfast is not complimentary, but overall a pleasant stay.
