Cousins BBQ, Fort Worth TX

Cousins catered our wedding. Everything was delicious. Even the barbecue aficionados on our guest list were happy! As part of their catering package, Cousins offers a lot of great options and add-ons, which was a deciding factor for us when choosing a caterer (like iced tea, cutlery, dishware, etc). Not all placed include these things in their price, but Cousins does. Highly recommend for catering.

Food was more like 4.5 stars. Smoked brisket was really good. Potato salad was the best side.

Definitely not what it used to be. $27/person for perhaps the worst BBQ meal ever experienced. Couldn't taste the greens in the collard greens, only tasted the seasonings. The staff didn't even know what pepper sauce for greens is, much less have it available. Ribs, jalapeño-cheddar sausage, and lean brisket were all dry, tough, and flaked like you would want a fish filet to flake. The only highlights was an ice cold beer and the chocolate chip cookie. The hometown feel is gone as the owners have decided to go toward an eclectic, sports bar vibe. The music genre remained the same (country) but it's more the pop-style country than that associated with BBQ. Even the Dr. Pepper was "out of order" - a sin for a truly Texan BBQ joint. This family and our dollars have been lost. The portions were small compared to the price, and the condiment bar, once a staple, is sorely missing.

Holy smokes are they EXPENSIVE! Good grief, they have almost doubled the price since the remodel.
Chicken was super dry. Brisket was good. Small portions for huge price!

My first visit to any Cousins location and will be back.
I had the Brisket grilled cheese sandwich and Ranch baked beans which were substituted for the french fries. Both were VERY Good except the beans serving was soooo so sooo little. Made me wish I'd ordered the fries as there would have been more. My order was to-go so not sure if that made the difference. So for $15+ I basically paid for the the grill cheese (brisket).

Also it took a whole to et the order as well so plan your timing if you are ordering to-go.

Brisket and street corn was awesome need more of it not very big portions for this to be Texas

Some of the worst brisket I've had in a long time. The chopped brisket seemed like it was chopped yesterday and just sat in a hot pan drying out

The girl at the counter gets a 10 out of 10 in customer service by explaining the menu only thing better than the customer service is the food

Brought some friends from out of state. We were all pleasantly surprised by the large amount of incredibly delicious food. The margaritas were perfect. The waitress/bartender was a delight. Great experience!

It was three/four years ago when my best friend and I (her driving & my first time here) came here just for a sandwich! And it was very good (just the sandwich)! So fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. My family and I (party of four) decided to come here b4 our movie started and I had a chance to sit down for a full course meal and GOODLAWD! Everything was SO on point! I didn't know but I learned that day! When it comes to barbecue, these folks know wth their doing!

Drove 25 miles and the place has no ribs on a sat.i never write reviews but i was totaly Disappointed. What barbecue does not have ribs?

Worst BBQ in dfw 2 years straight. Great job guys keep covering everything in salt and human hair

Food was good but not as good as it used to be, prices are getting out of control, way too high.

First BBQ place I had when I moved to texas.and is still my favorite. They have yet to steer me wrong with the price, flavor, or speed that the food is ready.have yet to have a bad experience.

Was not pleased today with sliced beef sandwich. Limited amount of beef on bun for price paid. In other words more bun than beef. If BBQ was good really couldn't tell. Other BBQ places serve more beef on bun with chips and drink for cheaper price and in some cases better BBQ. Prob want go back.

I placed an order via the phone for a pick up before thanksgiving day. This was one day in advance to avoid the rush. The first person who tried to take my order could not and put me on hold for 15 minutes. No problem. I understand the restaurant is busy. The second person took my order but failed to tell me they cannot give 4 lbs of moist brisket. This is a popular item with my family for many years. Upon arriving on the day of my pick up, the order was a mix 1/2 lean and 1/2 moist brisket for a total of 4 lbs. I asked why and was given a long excuse of they can’t do that and they admitted I should’ve been told this when placing the order. I’ve now spent $166.70 for a BBQ Thanksgiving that is the wrong order because the cousins bbq team failed to let me know. No apology was given, no credit was given. The wrong order was given. Please note, we have been coming to Cousins for 15 years without an issue.

We loved our meals here! The service was top notch, and the renovations are lovely. We will be coming here again.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and the gentleman at the front counter, Gary, was very inviting & friendly. Was a great experience. Thanks Gary!
