Cracker Barrel Old Country Store reviews
13Food portions were extremely sparce! Two tablespoons of each veggie. Manager did try to fix some the deserts though.
My family goes Here probably more 75% of the time we get together and eat. Most them like breakfast items all day but there's a few of us that have tried almost all the menu! We like the wide variety they offer with there being 7 of us all wanting different things.
Really great hometown food and love the store. The biscuits and cornbread are delicious! Love the breakfast items and the chicken fried steak.
I had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions, Mac and cheese, turnip greens. The turnip greens were gross with shredded roast or some kind of meat in it. There was less greens in the bowl than this disgusting gross left over roast from the day before all cooked to shreds in them. I love greens but with a little bacon grease or bacon in them.
Consistent food. You know exactly what you’re going to get. No matter where you are. Perfect for casual dining and wonderful for eating when you travel.
It's a down-home country Southern cooking kind of place it's also the kind of place you can get drinks after work even if you work the overnight shift and get off at 8 in the morning
Had the chicken fried chicken. Needed more gravy on it. I also had the dumplings but it tasted a little raw and had no flavor but like uncooked biscuit dough, don't get it. I also had the fried apples but tasted like it had a little too much cornstarch in it.
The service was fine and the food was pretty decent. Having not eaten at Crackerbarrel in a few years, it exceeded expectations.
Large selection on menu. Nice atmosphere. Staff is always very friendly. Country store is a bonus.
Too loud. Not CBs fault. Not today but, in the evening dining it's too dark to read the menu or enjoy your food.
Been here tons of times so I decided to review it. First off the food is always great here. There’s always plenty to look at with all the things on the walls. Gift shop is big and packed full although prices can be high on a lot of stuff. There is a lot of good edible items to choose from that you don’t normally see so that’s a huge plus. Recently they just added a lot of things to the menu and some are permanent and some seasonal. I tried one today and that was the cheesy bacon homestyle fried chicken. It was very good. It had fried chicken with bacon, onion strings, green onion, cheese, diced tomatoes, and ranch drizzled on top. Sides were whole kernel corn and the best one which is hash brown casserole. Definitely my favorite side ever. Also had side house salad they brought out before the meal. You have a choice when you get drinks to have cornbread or biscuits or both brought out. That’s always hit or miss with us. Cornbread is usually the best if it’s fresh and hasn’t been sitting a while. The other plate in the picture was meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and broccoli. Everything I have tried here is very good comfort food and they also serve breakfast all day as well. Either way you can’t go wrong depending on what you are in the mood for. Katy was our waitress tonight and she was fantastic. She was very attentive great at her job. She was quick with getting everything out and always refilled drinks before they were down too far. She had a smile on her face and seemed to enjoy what she does. Always recommend here when looking for good country meal with great service and comfortability. Enjoy!
Cracker Barrel is one of those places you can always count on to be delicious! I got my usual; pecan pancake with an order of extra crispy bacon. Yummy! Others in my group got the Sunday Fried Chicken and it could not have been better. Our waitress was awesome and we had a delightful Sunday lunch. Highly recommend CB!
WOW! If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would. We got an over abundance of food and I expected our total to be well over $60. We got the ticket back and it was around $40! We got 2 appetizers, 2 meals with large sides, and 2 speciality drinks. The watermelon lemonade is free refills too! All of our food was great. Totally suggest the cream cheese French toast!
