CRC Bldg 1013, El Paso TX

If you're coming to CRC, and have to stay past the two weeks, you'll be moved from building 1003 to 1013. Though you will have more freedom, you will not have private bathrooms in your room. You will have community bathrooms to include showers. There will not be any free internet or bottled water like what was provided by building 1003 and 1004. No fridge or microwave in the room. Other than that, it's ok.

Just no. I can't believe they still use these for soldiers. Basic training was a more pleasant experience.

The lodging is terrible but the bathrooms are clean and the laundry is modern and clean. Have your paperwork in order beforehand because the cadre are cold hearted and don't have time for BS. They're hard but fair and SSGT BECK plays zero games. Don't be late for anything and get your CBT's done ASAP. Follow these points and you'll be successful there.

There is nothing enjoyable about what goes on at CRC. Grit your teeth and make it out of there to make that good money.

Condemned building.
Unsafe for occupancy. People are directed to live in this building for a week or more.
Open bay showers =pure misery.
Dirty, disgusting, substandard living conditions. No signal for cell phones.
Intentional blocking of cell and wifi to profit from people staying in this decrepit building.

Good internet café with free cac access. You can surf the internet and print documents and scan are available.

The people running the show are awesome! The communication portion is always seeking improvement; however, we adapt as Soldiers. Overall they are squared away.

The staff treat you like garbage. The rooms should be condemned. And they change rules on you in a blink of an eye. Worst command in the military hands down.

Make sure you show up 2 days early to complete medical. Get a room at a hotel, the barracks are trash

Hot showers, bed, and walking distance to dining facility. Linens need to be replaced as I observed there are holes in a lot of the linen according to talks with others who stayed.

Limited space at the main location. The A. C.cannot be controlled at the overflow. They do give you a fan to wisp away the sweat from your body as you lay atop the covers.

The bar at the pool is cheap. The bar maids are good looking. You have to love the daily room service. The sheets on the bed will cover you head to toe.

Don't listen to 'David Wheatley' or whoever the hell he is! The movie theater is great along with the linens they issue at 1013. Top notch!

Update 13 August 2016: This is not a cinema. Cinema is located at Freedom Crossing shopping district.

Luxury suites with three beds and three wardrobes. Has a great view and the staff is friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

I've lived in worse conditions because if the army and for a week this place is bearable. Walking distance to Freedom Crossing and a quick Uber ride into town.
