Creative Arts Building in Fair Park reviews
11I love seeing everyone's creativity and passion. Of course, I am a bit prejudiced; I won two ribbons in the Collections category. Fun to compete and fun to look.
Not as many vendors, but the crafts was fun. There was a celebrity chef doing a demonstration. Was disappointed in the butter sculptures.
Love to look at the displays, and seeing the backyard circus during the fair, 10/10 great for the kids
Wonderful people! Excited for the state fair to begin to view all the beautiful artwork that people submitted!
The best time to visit is during the state fair when you can check out all the ribbon winners from a multitude of categories. There is usually vendors nearby as well as a restaurant if you are hungry. Don't wait till the weather forces you indoors or you might not be able to take your time a see all the winners and enjoy the buildings purpose.
This is the 4th year my daughter has entered the Arts & Crafts competition and we are always in and back out quickly. We have always been a fan of the detailed information to enter, submit and pickup the art and ribbons. Class act!
The Texas State Fair at Fair Park is a long time tradition with me.going back over 60 years. (I'm 73.) I just love this building because it shows all the arts and crafts done by "ordinary" people. And, you never can guess what you'll see in any given year.
I enjoyed everything in there; it was great I was glad I didn't bring my credit card.
My Father's Painting was stolen during the Fair. The staff knows who did it. We are still waiting for justice.
Place of learning, beauty, extreme creativity & wonderful art are just a5 few of the things that you'll encounter when you walk thru its doors. Way more important than getting a Fletchers Corn Dog or Fried Cheesecake or riding the Texas Star. It's the first thing I look for to go into annually at the State Fair.
