Let me tell you some thing that travel agents don't want u to know about. When reserving hotels use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ They have the best deals on hotels! Much better than using expedia, tripadvisor, agoda. Take my word for it!

Our stay at the hotel was very good overall. We had to leave our home do to a hurricane. We were able to check in almost 2 hours early without question. The hotel lobby was experiencing water leaks but other than that everything was very good.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED. THEY ALLOWED ME TO BOOK A RESERVATION ONLINE ONLY TO SHOW UP TO FIND “HOTEL CLOSED” SIGNS ALL OVER THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING.

Should be a 0
I drove 3 and a half hours to get to this hotel that I booked a month ago to show up and find out it's been closed for almost a year and yet they're still taking reservations and booking rooms for people

For a 3.5 star hotel, it's extremely run down and needs to be shut down by health department as it reeks from no air ventilation and old dirty carpet. There is not 1 thing good about this place, we couldn't breath from the musty smell all night and will do everything I can to transfer to another hotel in the morning. Hotel solution, can spray the floors with air freshener! Parking lot is covered but was flooded with water, and gate left open so no security.but they charge $12.50 a night. Too many issues I won't bother to list.worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Stay Away.

Place seems pretty run down. Elevators function weirdly and some aren’t available for use. The water would not get hot no matter how long I left it running. It was a hassle getting switched to another room but other than that the staff was nice but I wouldn’t come back here

Worst customer service ever from a hotel in my life. Paid for my hotel and they cancelled it because I checked in a few hours late. Would not refund

God awful smell, shower was black, paint chipped on walls, elevator was nasty, couldn’t stay, I had to leave immediately. Don’t let the pictures on the website fool you

Me and fiance booked this hotel for a weekend getaway. Upon arrival are check in wasn't very polite or professional, due to hotel front desk not being polite. Then we noticed multiple people walking in the hotel with no mask on. We also had to ride the elevator with a man who had no mask on at all and was closer then 6 feet. That's dangi and a safety hazard. Next we could not sleep at all because the toilet ran so loud all night, you could hear it even with the bathroom door closed. Well we decided to swim then when we asked the front desk for more towels, she was rude and snotty and told my fiance we don't have none and u gotta wait until the morning.well at 5 am we finally had enough and called front desk and got moved to a new room. Oh yeah one more thing in both rooms we stayed in we never could watch tv because the tv wouldn't connect to service. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. We basically wasted are money. I doubt anybody from crowne plaza or corporate will even see this, but if you do I hope u handle it accordingly. God bless and no trump2020

Woke up at 3: 00AM to find out I had been bitten by bed bugs. Went down to the lobby since nobody picked up the phone at the reception and got offered to be moved to a different one. Worst nightmare. Also, sent an email to the manager and have not received a reply

Thermostat in room was broken (see "wrench" icon in photo) and was stuck on cooling the room to 67 degrees F. This, combined with the fact that the bed sheets and coverings were very lightweight - and there was no extra blanket in the room! - made for a chilly night. And finally, there was no COLD water in the shower the next morning, only HOT water (very hot) coming out of the shower head, no matter where I moved the shower water control lever.

This is the 2nd time this hotel has failed. First time horrible stay during construction; however the manager was very professional after our complaints during our stay and took care of us. So, we decided to try again even though skeptical. We made a reservation, everything was confirmed. The day of check in we arrived to check in and someone inside the gate informed us the hotel was closed and there were cones up everywhere. That’s it? You can’t stay here figure it out. Where was the communication that the hotel was closed? Why was my reservation confirmed when you were clearly closed? Why did I get this survey asking how my visit was when I didn’t even stay!? What if I had come in from traveling? Then what? Horrible service Crown Plaza - allowing customers to book and you’re closed, arrive at check in and you’re closed and then the audacity to send me a survey asking how my stay was. When I never got to stay! Disappointing and unacceptable Crown Plaza. You have got to do better.

Welcoming staff and spacious rooms. (Rooms could use a facelift) There were a few minor damages to some of the fixtures but the rooms are huge and comfortably furnished.
I chose this hotel because of its close proximity to all the places we wanted to visit: The Galleria, The Breakfast Klub, Escape Room, Turkey Leg Hut, and college campuses. There are several stores and fast food restaurants 2 min away on the opposite side of the highway: CVS, ChicFilA, IHop, Wendy's and Burger King.
Garage parking is available for $12/night; valet for $18. The hotel also includes a restaurant, a convenience store, a spa and outdoor pool. The best thing is: I booked through Priceline and was able to get 3 rooms for 2 nights with a total cost of $400. I felt it was worth it. My family really enjoyed our trip.

Well kept. Very clean and maintained as such! Very convenient access right on the service lane of I59-South at Kirby Drive exit. I did not stay here to give a first hand comment on the rooms.just attended day long event in one of the conference halls. My only complaint is about the temperature.literally freezing cold. The food was good. Overall a nice place to hold your events.

Undergoing remodeling but service is non existent. No room service, no concierge, no ice in the ice machines. Nobody even answered at the front desk all night. It’s like they forgot they were running the hotel and that there was paying customers there that required service.

Nice, and nice for the price. Friendly staff. Under renovation, roughly half of the room have been refreshed. Pool closed, perhaps due to construction.

It was an okay hotel. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is going under construction which makes it challenging to sleep.

Hotel is very welcoming and beautiful and I'm love the area that it is located in. It is very clean and while some rooms might be a little small, they are still very comfortable. Everything went very smooth during the stay and most defiantly will be coming back. The staff were very respectful and polite and made me feel very welcomed.

EDIT: : Upon checking out of the hotel, I had the opportunity to discuss my concerns with the front office manager, Jawanza. She was a pleasure to talk to and was she understood my frustration and admitted that the experience that I had was unacceptable. After listening to my concerns and frustrations, Jawanza did everything that she could to redeem the reputation of this Crown Plaza location and to ensure that before I left the building that she cared about my experience and would move a mountain to make it right. Without Jawanza I don't know how this location could even attempt to manage the frustration of their guests. She handled the situation with elegance and grace and this hotel is incredibly fortunate to have her on staff. Thank you Jawanza.

Holy Cow, this is absolutely the worst hotel that I could have imagined staying in for this trip to Houston. When choosing a hotel, I am quite selective and my experience has told me that Crown Plaza hotels are generally nice. I was wrong, horribly & terribly wrong.

The first night, I was tired, so I was able to ignore the fact that the staff was rude, the room was less than satisfactory and the advertised amenities were absent, however, upon returning to this dump for the second night, I was less than pleased to discover that my already substandard room had been cleaned by someone that forgot to replace the towels after taking the dirty ones and left no ice bucket. (The ice situation is already a disaster since the one on this floor is broken as is the one on the floor above me.)

I decided that it was time to get help from the front desk so I headed downstairs in one of the death trap elevators. (Pictures to follow.) Once I was able to gain the desk agents attention, (she was watching something incredibly interesting on her phone in the back room) she told me that I would have to wait until morning when a Manager arrived to get assistance with my concerns. I suppose I will use the blow dryer to dry off in the morning after my shower so I can talk to the manager.that is convenient, isn't it?

So, if you have a preference for a quality hotel, I would advise that you not book here. You might be more comfortable sleeping in your car. Based on my experience showering in your car would be just as easy as it is here at the Crown Plaza. (If you are in your car it would certainly be easier to get ice!)

Lackluster and inconsiderate staff, shoddy facilities, death trap elevators and advertised amenities that don't exist are solid proof that IHG Hotels do not enforce any sort of quality standards and do not monitor the quality of the properties that display the Crown Plaza name. That being considered, once I have successfully dried off with the blow dryer in the morning, I am going to see if I can hang a Crown Plaza sign on my shed and book reservations through IHG for a profit. I actually feel like my shed is just as nice, if not nicer than this Crown Plaza location.

Booked hotel for 2 nights, but I could only take 1 night. I ended taking a loss for the second night I did not stay. Rooms were outdated and the water on toilet was hot every time that it was flushed. The beds were very uncomfortable and the carpet or the room had a musty smell, similar to excess humidity.

Hotel staff was very unprofessional, room service didn’t leave towels or ice bags, couldn’t get any sleep due to the noise of the loud elevators! When tried to talk to the front desk about it we had to get her attention from the movie on her phone she was watching after standing there for 5 minutes! As someone who travels often and has stayed in multiple Crowne plazas I was deeply disappointed and disgusted with this hotel. They kept apologizing saying they were under renovation, however that has nothing to do with the customer service we received during our stay! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy!
