Curry Fusion reviews
14Food is not really that great, especially it is not tasty at all. They need to change their strategy to be able to attract customers. I tried chicken biryani and the chicken tastes bad and I can guarantee that it is not fresh. I then went for the weekend breakfast buffet, there are a good number of items that are hot but not at all tasty. I don’t feel like I’m eating some food but eating something which is a very weird feeling. Not sure what they’re preparing their food from.
Soooooo dirty inside. I didn't even dine in but I went to pick up my food and since it wasn't ready I waited inside and got to see all the trash on the floor and tables. Flies all over. Front desk was being run by two gentlemen and neither were doing a good job. My food came out at some point and was just sitting next to them for a while before they bothered to check it.
Food was really good tho. Chicken Tikka masala. Not good enough to save them but just good enough that I was content. Will consider coming back in the future to check in but for now very disappointing.:/
Tried two times, it was a disaster both the times. First was on the opening day, it didn’t go well. So thought it could be because it’s new, so we gave it a one more try after many months. It’s still horrible.
I am just surprised how the restaurant Chef doesn’t know the difference between mysore bajji and punugulu. We ordered punugulu, they made it with mysore bajji dough (all purpose floor, Maida), it’s just mini mysore bajji.
Restaurant should have known that some people are sensitive/allergic to certain foods with dietary restrictions.
2 things here,
1. Either restaurant is fooling the customers thinking they don’t realize or
2. If this is a genuine mistake then they need to learn and know the difference between recipes. If you don’t have the batter or required ingredients, please let the customer know. They can choose something else or go find some other place.
Ordered here for a small party we had, the vankay biryani was average, the boneless chicken biyani rice is average but the chicken was good. Overall not a great experience at the restaurant. Will try to order and check again. Hopefully quality improves.
I have been in Austin since 2015 and been looking for a restaurant which has specific South Indian Menu as well other menu items in a good ambience. I am glad Curry & Fusion is now available meeting with such requirements. Jackfruit Pulao is definitely a must try item, Loved this one. My family has tried Idly, Vada, Dosa and Puri, all of them have tasted excellent. This restaurant is definitely going to be our default option going forward.
We got catering service for three days for Punjabi wedding. Amazing food. Everyone loved it
The Chicken Tikka Masala is really good as well as the Chai. Food came out pretty quick but they weren't very busy when we ordered. Will definitely go back.
I don’t think this business will last long if they continue to do the business like this, on my first visit I have ordered Paneer biryani, uttpam and somsa they were worst in taste. Biryani was extremely spicy. It seems they think that only red chilly can give taste, we couldn’t able to eat we had to throw.second their price is so high as compare to other who are serving best food in less price. And the same thing we were expecting at least uttapam should be mild but again it is so spicy. I will never order food again and will never recommend any of my family and friends.
Boneless chicken biryani is okay. Chicken is super tender. A little bit more flavor and less spice could have helped my taste buds. This is a fast food kind of set up for dine in. Not a fine dining place
Complete let down of chicken 65.too much color and no taste, fried in oil and it was not fully cooked
The eggplant biryani was very good. The Masala dosa was decent and all the chutneys were amazing. Overall the service and staff are polite and nice. Would recommend it for sure.
The only great thing we have experienced here was the ambience. Food was a definite 1 star. The roti (bread) was rotten and the owner said the flour got mixed up, not sure what!
Mirchi bajji (supposed to be the day's special) was stale and reheated. Biryani was 2 out of 10. Ghee roast dosa was a saver.
Would definitely not recommend unless something majorly changes in the kitchen.
Ordered onion Dosa and Biryani. Got masala Dosa which was too salty. Biryani was kind of some color rice.
Curry Fusion is a little taste of India right here! Their dosa and idli are like a warm hug from home, and the restaurant is surprisingly spacious. Plus, no overwhelming curry smell! Quick service during lunch is a bonus. While the chicken biryani didn't steal my heart, that rice and biryani masala mix is pure yum. For a speedy South Indian fix, this place is a must-try!
