CVS, Georgetown TX

As a pharmacy you 1 job abd that is to fill prescriptions. I know that is a basic assessment and I know there is more to the job, but this is your main business. This particular location is not good with the basics up to and including customer service. Very poor experience with the pharmacy, non responsive management team in the store.
I know they don't care, but had ro transfer my prescription yo HEB. Filled within hours, cvs had my prescription for a week.

I never write reviews, so this is rare for me. But I’m writing to say how bad the photo developing section is. I took my camera to get my photos done but they never called and I tried looking for atleast my camera but they found nothing. Super sad that I lost all my photos and memories and disappointed to the people who had one job of letting me know that my photos were ready.

I just recently started using the CVS app and man, I love it! I get emails with 15% to 40% off, and they have really saved me a LOT of money! I recommend everyone interested in saving money get their app.

Super close to the house. Prices are competitive if you use coupons. Some items, like laundry detergent, coffee, etc.are actually cheaper than big box grocery stores. They also have self checkout.

If I could give this CVS ZERO Stars I Would! My wife takes a medication that requires blood lab work.

My wife had gone to the lab a few days beforehand. My wife’s doctor’s office got their copy of the lab results (which is loaded into a proprietary computer database system)

My wife’s doctor’s office & CVS can both access the same database.

I called this specific CVS which is where my wife’s doctor’s office sent the prescription.

The pharmacist said they couldn’t fill the prescription because the database system (REMS) supposedly simply said “Do Not Dispense. ”

The pharmacist said that she needed to research the matter & promised to call me back.

She never did. I ended up calling back. I have the call logs to back that up.

I asked the pharmacist before I hung up what she meant & if they got the lab results in the REMS database.

She just kept saying it only says “Do Not Dispense” and advised me to call my wife’s doctor’s office & have them call CVS.

I called my wife’s doctor’s office & asked them to call CVS.

Hours later I called CVS back again & FINALLY FOUND OUT what CVS SHOULD HAVE told me along.

And that was they did NOT have the labs results via the REMS database. That’s why it kept saying “Do Not Dispense. ”

Then I called my wife’s doctor’s office again & simply asked them to fax the lab results to CVS - which they did.

By this time, it was too late for me to go to CVS to get the medicine because I had to be at work.

I have an old vehicle & was running an errand anyway & could have easily went by CVS.

So now I have to go tomorrow and hope my vehicle doesn’t break down.

If CVS had simply told me when I first called in the morning THEY DID NOT or COULD NOT see the lab results in the REMS database, then I would have immediately asked my doctor’s office to fax the lab results.

All of this could have been avoided if they DID A MUCH BETTER JOB communicating to me & simply TOLD ME the 1st time I called - that they couldn’t see the labs results & to have the doctor fax them.

They dragged this whole thing out by way of ambiguity & piss poor communication!

Terrible place, pharmacy does not have stock of most medicine and they do not communicate until we contact them after waiting for prescription updates.
Refuses to contact insurance providers.
Poor customer service. Never going back there

One of the worst manager I’ve come across. Absolutely don’t care about customers priority. I had to wait for an hour at the billing but she doesn’t come to help. It felt like she’s owning this store and customers are at her mercy. Pathetic. Not coming again

The black girl in the front I think her name is adri her attitude is always nasty when I go in there! It’s like she hates her job if people who have bad things going on in there life shouldn’t take there anger out on costumers this worker needs better training or counseling terrible service along with the store manager with the dreads 0 out of 10 nasty nasty don’t come here they are both b. I. T. C. H. E. S.

Maybe you should change the pharmacy hours online instead of letting people drive 20 minutes to see a piece of paper taped on the pharmacy window with different hours.

The pharmacy staff is great. Stop yelling at them when they refuse to do illegal stuff for you

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST pharmacy there is. Complete waste of time. They will text you several times a day to tell you your medication is ready to pick up. You show up, and SURPRISE! No. It’s not… so then you come back the next time you have a chance, and you can’t get it “because of state law”. Yes. I understand that, but I tried to pick it up when they said it was ready, and it wasn’t. Now I’m stuck with an additional copay for my doctor to fill it again. Do yourself a favor and NEVER get meds filled here. I don’t even care that I have to pay more at another pharmacy. Will NEVER be back. Also, to top it off, the Pharmacist was super rude and never once had my well being in mind.

Don’t ever go here for photo, they are just holding old model of digi camera and also they don’t edit the photos, they just print as it is. Got worst quality of 2 copies of pp pic for $17+tax and it was rejected by Passport office for not meeting quality requirements

A girl at the front named Vinnie was super helpful at the self checkout. She even offered to bag my items:)

AWESOME PHARMACY! I’d rate this location 6 stars if I could. The employees at this store are so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and FAST! Seriously best CVS pharmacy in Georgetown (and I’ve tried them all). Shout out to Lisa and Nicole for saving the day by fixing 2 separate script issues I had in 10 minutes flat.

Be careful. These people have no clue what they are doing. Very difficult to work with, and not very knowledgeable.

I’ve never had any issue with this store. Clerks are helpful and friendly, and the pharmacists are the absolute best.

On 8/23/22 I went here to pick up medicine for my husband. I went to the kiosk and printed out coupons using the telphone number lookup. When I tried to use the coupon the cashier didnt honor it. Said the ninber didnt match. Offered no other help.

The pharmacist, Nicole was super helpful in getting my son’s second covid booster shot done on a special schedule.
