D. Smith's Chicken & Fish reviews
12I stumbled across this place and thought I would stop in. I ordered the Garlic Butter Crab & Shrimp fries. The portion was enough for 2-3 people to nibble on. Shrimp was well seasoned and cooked well. When I return I plan to ask for a little spice on top like cayenne pepper, jalapeño or something. But I have no complaints.
Service was good but that was not real catfish. Tasted more like swai. If it was catfish must was a byproduct. A little disappointed because i was looking for some real good catfish in the area.
I got a 3 piece catfish meal. It was surprisingly good, didn't taste fishy or dirty at all. The filets were bigger than expected, and price was good.
The food and service are on point. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and crispy, and the waffles were thick and fluffy.
I ordered from the little ordering window and the food was ready in about 10-15 minutes. Sandra took my order at the window and brought the food to my table. She was super sweet and even double-checked to make sure I didn't need anything else before I left.
The atmosphere was clean and simply decorated. I appreciated that they had 2 TVs to watch while I waited for my food. I will definitely visit here again the next time I'm in Arlington.
The food was good, that is not up for discussion. But the portion size is not. I got a side of potato salad. I was expecting a reasonable portion size and got this little cup. That was disappointing since I dropped $22 on the platter. They won't see me again.
Food is okay, But service sucks really bad. I will not support them anymore. Work on service
I stopped in for lunch today I was very disappointed I purchased a two-piece catfish basket however when I got my order it was one thin-sliced fillet that had been cut in half and and that's what they call a two-piece catfish total rip off. And the seasoning on the fish was terrible. Someone please tell these people that a thin slice fillet cut in half is not considered two pieces of fish they don't ever have to worry about me and I will most definitely tell my friends and family. And your server Sandra could really use some work on her attitude we can definitely tell she's not a people person. I almost walked out due to her rude snappy short attitude.
Stopped Here on a whim after a Dr appt across the street, not a fancy looking place but don't let that deter you!
Had the chicken strip dinner with onion rings and corn nuggets and it was some of the best chicken I've had in a while.
Will definitely come back if in the area!
Carnival food with carnival prices.gave them a second chance wasting my time.horrible food with horrible prices to match do yourself a favor and stay away if you're hungry you better off sucking on a nickel then this place
I ordered the catfish dinner which was 2pc of fish and double fries. I was highly disappointed with the size of these fillets. I usually order from the N Collins location and have never had an issue. Food looks just like the pictures advertised. This time I felt like I got a kids’ plate with 2 little pieces of fish and it was $13 along with $3 extra for a kid’s French fries in which they were overcooked and burnt looking. The oil needs to be changed definitely! My daughter’s food was great. I’m so so high disappointed with this order!
My coworker said this was a good place so thought I'd try. Not at all impressed, I will say the seasoning on everything was good, okra and onion rings were good also. However that is the only good thing I could say. The fish was soggy and I mean I couldn't even pick it up without it falling apart. The chicken strip were way to big, I want a chicken strip not the whole breast. I mean I get it give the ppl a good sized piece but that was just to thick, cut it in half and give an xtra piece or something. I ordered 2 fish, 3 strips with fries, okra and onion rings and literally only ate one strip, okra and the onion rings. Just a waste of money.
The portions were huge. The chicken was fried right. The streak on the fries was a little over cooked but overall it was delicious.
