Dahlia Cafe reviews
25Interesting place with great food and plenty of space outside, on the huge deck or inside at a table. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Go, it is an experience you can enjoy! Family and kid friendly!
This place must have done well during the quarantine, they are already turning customers away 5 mins after closing time.
I love this place! My GF Kim took me here yesterday and insisted that I try the Cajun blackened shrimp and grits bowl. It looked a bit small when it came, but I couldn't finish it all! It was deliciously decedent. Rich and heavy with flavor. The side salad was crisp and ice cold. The tomatoes tasted like they just came off the vine. Our waitress was delightful as well. After dinner we sat under the trees and relaxed with drinks. Talking for hours. Spent six hours there, felt like two. Can't wait to go back.
Food was amazing! Chicken fried steak the way it was meant to be, smothered in jalapeno gravy with homemade buttermilk biscuit, mashed potatoes & okra. Raging cajun Philly cheese steak lives up to it's name and the burgers are beyond compare. The cheesecake and bread pudding are to die for. Our server was fantastic. Prices very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend especially for any out of state guests that want a true taste of down home Texas cooking!
Love this place, home made food. First time for a spectacular breakfest. They have awesome lunches and heat warning dinners. A must. Everyone should go. Its super in summer, they have a live band, and a kiddie park with swings and all.
INCREDIBLE! Excellent food, large portions (we shared one dinner), and the prices are amazingly reasonable. Rustic, interesting, family dining ambiance. We really liked this place a lot!
Good ole southern cooking. Chicken fried steak with jalapeno cream gravy is delicious. Awesome breakfast also only downside is they do not use picante instead they use some chipotle stuff that is horrible.
Love this place
Family oriented and the food is great
If you think you not going the right way to get there don't worry, it looks like you going nowhere. It's worth it.
I had previously given a bad review. The owner or manager, Brian, VERY promptly addressed my issue and did his very best to correct it! Thank you for caring about your customers and our feedback. My issue had nothing to do with the quality or taste of food. I will return due to the management taking ALL matters seriously! Thank you!
Food is very good but I felt the choices we slightly limited for breakfast.they do offer all the breakfast staples. If you are looking for a great local breakfast you can't go wrong with Dahlia's. Be sure to get a slice of pie or brownie, they are amazing.
One of the best hidden gems in Texas. The food here is G-R-E-A-T and service is good too.
They have an indoor and outdoor spaces to eat.
They have veggie options and options my twin sister could eat with all her food allergies.
Love this place. Just great food, great service and always a pleasant experience. We tell everyone about Dahlias and take all of out out of town visitors there.
First time eating at Dahlia’s and we enjoyed it! It has a small town Texas feel which is a nice getaway from the Austin rat race.
CFS was good, nice black pepper gravy. Mac’ n Cheese is creamy and delicious, recommend it.
We opted for the pumpkin pie. It was flaky and the texture of the filling was spot on. The nutmeg and “spice” were on point!
Service was excellent and friendly as well.
Our meals which were 2 orders of Chicken Fried Chicken, Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, and the daily special, Pecan Crusted Tilapia were ALL DELICIOUS as always.
What a great place. The playground was a little old, but still fun for the kids. The food (especially the burger) was really good. Definitely will go back.
The food and service at DC are fantastic. I'm partial to the country fried steak with jalapeno cream gravy and the Caesar salad with blackened chicken. Whatever I order for my meal, I don't leave DC without dessert. I recommend you do the same. You'll thank me.
BTW: I can't believe someone gave DC a one-star rating because they were late for breakfast. That doesn't sound like anyone I'd want to be around much.
Great food! Beautiful place. Tables and chairs outside under huge oaks was so nice. Good dancefloor. Lots of swings and play equipment to occupy the children. Can't wait to go back! The Family Shiloh band was playing.they played a lot of country and some really moldy oldie country and a few gospel songs. The whole family sings including the younger children it was awesome.and they're in Texas so they have a "fiddle in the band"
My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. The food was delicious and came out rather quickly after our order was taken. The prices are reasonable and our waitress was very prompt and kind. The only thing that I would suggest is to place a sign by the entrance with where to go for the cafe because we were slightly confused upon arrival. We will be back once we move to the area!
Had lunch today and ordered the chopped steak - well done. Halfway through the meal, I found that the center portion was red, raw meat. Pointed this out to the waiter and after a trip to the kitchen, he returned with an offer to make another one. By that time I was no longer interested. Takeaway: if you want it well done, cut it open when delivered to insure doneness. Like the menu states: Eating raw or under cooked meat can be dangerous. I’ll just get a veggie plate next time.
My family and I were looking forward to breakfast on a Saturday morning.
We show up at 11AM. To find out they stop serving Breakfast at 10: 30AM. So if you like sleeping in, and want Breakfast, don't bother coming here.
Keep in mind, we are there watching people getting served their Breakfast at 11AM.
So we left!
Dahlia's Should consider serving breakfast till noon on Saturday. I can see maybe stopping breakfast earlier on weekdays. But Saturday it's not a work day!
