Dallas Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery, Grapevine TX

I was referred here because my senior kitty has a heart murmur and surgery is dangerous for him. I'll admit it's expensive but if your fur baby has an underlying condition, or is elderly, and needs dental work I wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Dr. Gengler is fantastic! Our 12 yr old pup developed a canine abscess that caused a bigger problem (oronasal fistula). After the initial closure with our primary vet, the hole opened up again. With an older dog, we are careful to weigh options before jumping into a big surgery. Our regular vet referred us and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Prior to surgery, Harley didn’t want to drink water because it was painful. After our consultation with Dr. Gengler, he felt confident he could close the fistula without issue and we decided to go for it. The communication we received was excellent, pricing was clearly outlined, and we felt everyone was extremely caring and knowledgeable. Our guy recovered without any issues and is back to running around like the happy dog we all want to see. We couldn’t be more thankful for Dr. Gengler and the whole team!

If you are looking for a place that makes you and your fur baby feel welcome, cared for, and has prompt and detailed communication, then this place is for you! I cannot recommend this place enough. From the doctors to the front desk staff, everyone here is truly welcoming and you can tell they genuinely care for your baby like it was their own. My pup needed extensive dental work and they were very reasonable and put my very high anxiety at ease. Even my pup, who typically has bad separation anxiety, took to the team very quickly. I cannot thank y’all enough for taking care of my baby!

All I can say is they are the most thorough and professionally staffed. As well as any dental oral surgery center for humans and do as good of a job. I was so impressed on our first visit, that I waited almost 5 weeks for an appointment to do extensive work on our 5 year old schnauzer. That needed a lot of bone work on a jaw.and I can not say enough about Dr. Menke.she's wonderful, explained everything in detail with pictures of what they found, the prognosis, and future work that will need to be done. If I could give them 10 stars I would and the price for Onree to feel good again and be healthy, I would not hesitate again.and she even worked within our $ 4500 budget and will finish the work needed in 3 to 6 months. I would have paid them twice for the kind of service and care we received.

Excellent experience from the professional staff. I'm very happy with the outcome from my cats dental issues. The doctor and staff thoroughly explained all procedures and kept me informed during the process. I highly recommend them.

I’m so grateful for the knowledge, skill, care and compassion of everyone who works at DVDOS. My 15-year-old cat needed to have oral surgery to diagnose and treat unidentified ongoing dental disease. Dr. Menke was able to both identify and treat what the problem was, kept us informed every step of the way and provided thorough explanations and records for post-operative care. She’s an absolute expert and professional in her field and I know my girl couldn’t have been in better hands.

I had so, so many questions and concerns and Dr. Menke; the office manager, Jennifer; and the customer care team answered them all with patience—I never felt they were inconvenienced or in a hurry. My primary concern was anesthesia and the risks associated with my girl’s age and kidney disease. Dr. Menke, Tracie and I’m sure many others were involved who had the necessary experience and skills to make sure she was safe and monitored in every possible way during her procedure, and my best friend made it through what was a very scary day for us.

These are not your typical vets that you’re likely used to when it comes to dental work; they have the specialty knowledge, experience and equipment to do everything possible to ensure your pet is tested accurately and thoroughly, and monitored in every way to be as safe as possible during procedures and anesthesia. Anesthesia always carries risks but I felt they were minimized more at DVDOS than they would be just about anywhere else in my part of the state.

As such, I considered the costs to be very reasonable, and would have paid those costs several times over to make sure my best friend received the best treatment. The level of care and services provided are above and beyond anywhere else my cat has ever been treated, and this is where I will take all my pets for anything dental-related going forward.

They gave me an honest assessment and this allowed me to prepare for myself for the inevitable. Bo has Cancer and with his age and other health issues, the chemotherapy and radiation would likely end his life far sooner. With this news it allows me to live to the fullest with my little guy and I appreciate that.

I was provided with medication to keep him comfortable and the visit was not expensive for the consult and medication (under $300).

Such a wonderful experience with doctors and staff. Our cat has been struggling with stomatitis for over a year. They removed his teeth and he's completely back to his old self. Thank you Dr. Menke!
