Hiked 5 miles at this park took the fence line trail. Walked around the twin peaks and back. Wonderful trails clean and well maintained. Parking at the entrance can be a challenge. People park along the road way and the pavement drops down significantly. Be careful otherwise you will damage the underbody of your car.

They really need to clean this place up. It was so loaded with garbage that my wife was so bothered by it she cleaned it up. We attached pictures of all the garbage bags. I get they can't help people doing this but a lot of this trash looked very old so nobody is maintaining this beach

Took the family here in a Saturday and had the place almost all to ourselves. It's a great place for kids to swim since it's shallow water.

I liked it but it needs some shade if you don't have a tent you can't stay long to enjoy the beauty of the lake some trees would be nice too

Ok we were only there one night and it just happened to be the night the biggest storm rolled through. And it was AWESOME!
WE WERE RIGHT ON THE LAKE IN OUR RV. A few other folks were there too. Some did not appreciate the storm as much as we did.
But the next morning it was beautiful weather. Deer everywhere. We'll stay here again.

Awesome park with great trails, I’d say the difficulty it’s intermediate for bike riding with some sunken trails and rough roads but the views are beautiful and the people are great.

Great place to hike.pretty busy by 0830 on a Sunday.it is nice and hot after morning Church! Saw a dear today!

Back again on the 17th of October. I saw some Lily's back behind twin peaks and then came across 7 to 8 in crawfish.

I will try to upload photos

Dana Peak is the best swimmin spot on Stillhouse Hollow Lake. We love the generous size of the swim beach. Plenty of room to spread out in the water and on the beach.
The bathrooms are nicely kept as well. We love coming here.

It was my first time camping there and it was amazing the only downside was I wish the bathrooms weren’t so far away from the people who tent there it really sucked having to walk all the way up there just to go to the bathroom or take a shower… how come RVs are so close RVs have bathrooms and showers in them?

Fun place, many trails and it has boat access. This place would be great if their was a few pavilions and picnic benches.

We did a little cardio because the line was too long to get into the park. Took a nice hike 2 the lake and visited a grave, while leaving an spiral sea/lake shell at the tree. There seemed to be a fire in the area. The storm started coming and we heard a very loud thunder while in the car so we left and enjoyed the ride back after church on Sunday.

It was nice, with a beautiful scenery. But the bugs are ridiculous. No trash cans available and the grill was not clean.

My family & I went here for Father's Day and had a nice time playing and swimming in the water. We set up in the designated swimming area not far from the boat launch. We like it because it's shallow and very gradual in terms of depth (great for little kids). However, it would be great if there were picnic tables and/or covered areas like the other sections within the park. Otherwise, I have no complaints about Dana Peak park and recommend this place for family/friend get-togethers.

Edit: 2.months still no pass. New excuse this time at least.

NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY. Been here seven times they still refuse to give me military pass because she says she has too much other work to do to actually do the pass

We love this place only thing is we can't bring our BBQ pit. Those pits they have ate really nasty and dirty.they need to clean them if they are forcing people to use them.most of them are no good but we have to deal with it.

Good family place to swim. They got grills and a nice swimming area that's lined off with rope. No lifeguard on duty, pretty popular place, free for military.

Very nice views and up and down terrain, but there is barely any shade! With this Texas heat we need shade! I'll stick with Chalk Ridge Falls and Save Dana Peak Park for cooler months!

They have changed how the park is run. Cards only so the line is always long. The person in charge must be super lazy because he closed the park 3 different times yesterday when it was no where near crowded. I’ll be calling the Army Corps of Engineers on Monday.
