Steak House Dario's reviews
19 Very good food and service overall. Nice decor and atmosphere, but the open area can make for some noise.
A bit pricey but a nice special occasion place. We tried a variety of appetizers and mains and a couple desserts. Didn't find the steak the best but most items overall were good.
There are several aspects of a quality dinner that make it memorable. Yes the food was good. Expensive but good. But I was troubled by the painfully slow service. Also what good is a waiter or waitress to me if they can't speak clear English. We shouldn't have to get frustrated asking for salt and pepper. Quite frankly our inability to clearly understand any one of the 3 who came to our table made our expensive visit very uncomfortable. Making your customer's relaxed and happy should be as much of a priority as good food.
This restaurant is exquisite fine dining for lunch dates, brunch or dinner dates. The food was delicious, every bite I took I said ummmmm. The mimosas was very refreshing. The customer services was exceptional, extremely exceptional. Beautiful setting. Restroom was spotless. We were greeted at the front door. Perfect dining I must say. Thank you so much we shall return.
We had a great meal, and the service was outstanding. We preferred the regular filet to the bacon wrapped. The lobster tail was large but cooked properly so as to not be tough or chewy.
This is in no way a bad review about the servers, the cooks or the owner. But I felt like I couldn't really complain at the restaurant because I didn't want them to think I was trying to get a free meal because I did order the most expensive steak on the menu which was the tomahawk which had a great flavor but it was tough as a boot. Whoever's buying their meat needs to be fired I will say the cook did overcook the lobster tail appetizer that we ordered because it was very chewy and that's what happens to Lobster when it's been overcooked. Greg was our server he was great did everything right but like I said I just felt like I couldn't complain because I wasn't there to get a free dinner so I paid my 235 bill and brought home probably $100 steak for my four dogs to eat
I went to eat here with my husband on date night. I was not impressed. I wanted to try a new restaurant with my husband. My husband ate a 75.00 lobster tail with two sides and he liked it but I had a 57.00 bland ribeye steak that did not include sides. I paid 11.00 to add a baked potato. The steak needed more seasoning. If I am going to pay that much, I expect the most delicious steak ever. I rather have spent my money at Texas Roadhouse. Service was good but I wont be going back. The drinks are from the soda machine, which tasted nasty. I dont drink alcohol. I rather have canned sodas for better quality coke, if I am going to eat at fancy restaurant.
Very excellent service and delicious menu. We craved the lobster bisque and it fully delivered flavor. Filet minon tips lunch portion was large and perfectly plated. Tons of flavor. Happy Valentine’s Day to us!
I didn't like being put next to the bathroom since I got the reservation weeks ahead. Very noisy and sounded like Chucky cheese. Wine was behind me they had to get a chair to remove the bottles while I was eating right behind me. The waiter packed our to-go box but didn't give us our lobster. Sorry not very good. Food was good the steak was excellent the shrimp was rubber.
This restaurant is spectacular, the quality of service we received was exceptional and greatly appreciated. The food was sooooo good, we had chicken and waffles, and crabcakes. The mimosas were so refreshing. Thanks to the waiters and manager for making sure all we're well. The celebration will be one to remember.
Food was good. Service was ok, we had a large party, however the waiters were not as attentive. We were waiting for a while to have our drinks refilled. Our party spent well over $1,500 so I thought we would have had better service.
My wife and arrived at Darios on a late Sunday afternoon without any reservations and was seated right away. Darios service was excellent, from the food, to the alcoholic beverages, to the music selection in the background. We celebrated our 16yr anniversary and wanted to try something close to the Cypress area where we live. I enjoyed the red snapper with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the Rockefeller Oysters and clam chowder in tomato sauce. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the staff that made our first visit a memorable one.
A very good dining experience right in the heart of Cypress! I loved not having to drive into the city to get a great meal. The service was excellent and the food was also very good. The only thing that might have been better was a more knowledgeable wine person. I don't think he was a sommelier but even so I felt he could have been more helpful with tips on great wines to try with better descriptions. The wine list was very extensive and we had a great evening and will go again. I'm giving it 5 stars but I think it was 4.5. ~Ruth Gracey, Owner - Great Houston Properties Real Estate
100000% theeee best place to dine! It reminds of fine dinning that I used to experience as a little girl with my parents. You dont find places like this anymore, amazingggg service & food!
Order the surf and turf special. And the lobster tail dry was tougher than the steak. We said it was over cook and ask for another one but they refuse, And bigger lobster tail they are going to be tougher. We spent $450 because we ordered 3. And it was a disappointing experience for my mothers birthday
But they did try to substitute for seafood risotto (which was excellent) and Chilean bass.
I've eaten at many steakhouses in my travels. Decided to try this one out as a few of my contacts visited here before.
The place is cozy but the parking is a challenge. Had the T-Bone and my son had the ribeye. Added the cajun shrimp and sides of Mac & cheese, asparagus and loaded baked potato. Meal was great and I especially liked the hot, fresh bread and sweet cornbread!
My server experience could be improved. She didn't check on us as frequently as I'm used in other steakhouses at this level. Thankful the restaurant manager made his rounds to check on us and everyone! Would have given them a 5 star it server was better.
Food and Service were great, impressive for a Tuesday night in the burbs. Made for a great birthday date with my wife. Only wish they had sides for 1 instead of 3 - 4.
This is my favorite restaurant in Cypress, TX! The food is great, the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. Greg is the best around. He is truly the best host around.
Was excited to try a local place for fine dining! We had no problem getting in on a Friday night. The people were great and very attentive. The problem was the prices are astronomical and the product was mediocre. Ordered the filet medium rare received medium raw truly raw and our broccolini was so undercooked that I think it was simply rinsed under hot water. The key lime pie was excellent, one of best I've ever had but I came here for the steak. Disappointed!
Bad Experience. Expensive Food. The steak was very salty
Right from the start, the waiter assigned to us didn’t like or want to wait on us (it was quite apparent since he was serving the adjacent 2 tables as well) - Looks like the waiter didn’t like to see us or expect us there.
We ordered the prime rib and it was quite salty and barely eatable. We ate most of it none the less to avoid a scene and gave the feedback to him at the end. He did not even offer an apology or explanation - just said “ok, I’ll inform the kitchen”. And that was it.
And when the check came the 20% gratuity was included already - I had no intention of giving more than 10% for poor service and bad food. That’s a $70 gratuity for bad service!
