David Eisen, MD reviews
13I used to be a patient of Dr. Eisen. My primary physician suggested I go back and get a stress test due to my blood pressure rising this past year. However, Dr. Eisen wants to treat me as a "new" patient and get an "extra" appointment in to pre check me before he let's me run on his treadmill. Doctors like this just want to scam you out of more money. I would like just ONE scientific reason, why I need a pre check to run on a treadmill, when my primary physician has already authorized. BTW I called about this a week ago with the promise someone would return my call with an answer in 24 hours. One week later no follow up call. NO such thing as customer service at this Doctor Office.
I work in medicine myself and seeing Dr. Eisen was a massive disappointment. When I asked for a holter monitor for proper testing since my symptoms weren't constant, he instead told me that he could hear my heart well enough (in the 10 seconds he listened) to know everything he needed. He then put me on medication that made me feel so much worse. It was always the same thing. Me asking for help. Him dismissing my symptoms, telling me to just take the medications, and saying he'd follow up with me in a few months (even though nothing was working and he still wouldn't order testing). It made me feel like I wasn't worth his time or care, and that's not what a healthcare provider should be like. I was really disappointed in my experience with him.
I have seen Dr Eisen in the past, I think he is a good doctor. I went today for a routine stress test (running on a tread mill) to increase heart rate and measure blood pressure. They actually expected me to wear a mask during this procedure. Are you kidding me! I just don't get it. Was the mask to protect against polio, monkeypox, or covid? See ya.
Horrible staff, very disappointing with the service, hard to get a appointment, third time cancel my appointment because they’re very disorganized, i been rescheduled 4 times since las year, now I have a phone call today to let me know that the Doctor can’t see me if I don’t have a echo done prior the visit, of course now I have to be rescheduled to June, that’s ridiculous
Dr Eisen is amazing. He's been treating me for a heart/valve issue since 2016. I just had a followup last week, and I feel beyond blessed to have found such a caring physician! He and his staff are quick to get you in and seen, but don't rush you to get you out. They always address all of my concerns.
I will say dealing with the staff / nurse was a pleasant experience. Dr eisen completely dismissed mine, and my PCP, valid concerns. It is so important if you are seeing a cardiologist for your health you find someone that will believe you and advocate for you. I don’t believe that is what he does. I felt dismissed and under minded. Advocate for your health by seeing someone that truly SEES you. Dr Eisen got one idea drilled in his head and refused to validate my symptoms.
I hope he’s worth such a high rating, but that is NOT the care that I got. Maybe he was once as great as the ratings indicate, but that’s not what I saw.
My husband has used Dr. Eisen for several years we have always felt like he received good care until recently. His primary Dr.found his congestive heart failure had returned. He put him on water pills and told him to follow up with Dr Eisen. It took 5 weeks to get an appointment. When he was seen he felt like he was blown off. He was told to continue on the water pills and testing would be done in 2 months. He was concerned about urinating too much but was told to take the pills anyway. His last straw was when he had errands to run and could not make it to the restroom and urinated on himself. He has decided he needs a younger more up to date Doctor.
Short waiting time, professional and curtious employees, I love Dr. Eisens bedside manner. He is always a delight to see.
The staff has been just wonderful thru everything I have been thru up to this point. Have only had one concern, but everyone can have a bad day. It worked itself out.
I prepared for my visit with Dr Eisen by providing those medical records from my previous treatment/diagnosis for heart related issues. Dr Eisen took time to review the entire file, listened and discussed with me a plan of action. He is professional, to the point, and very, very knowledgeable and experienced.
He has treated my wife for several years and has done an outstanding job in both treating her and in referring her to a fellow specialist when her situation was outside of his level of knowledge and experience. Our family trusts Dr Eisen's medical expertise, his diagnostic skills, and his medical recommendations and judgement.
He is a very good man and very, very good cardiologist.
Explained my condition in terms I understood and set up a procedure to further reveal any abnormalities.
Fr. Eisen spent a lot of time explaining my cardiac condition and reviewing the medications I am taking.
Dr. Eisen and his staff have always been kind and considerate. Dr. Eisen is very thorough going over test results, etc. I am very pleased with this organization.
