We have used David Kesel, CPA for years to handle ALL of our accounting and tax preparation neededs for our many businesses. David is very knowledgeable and professional. He treats our business like his own and gives great advice. We recommend David to all of our friends and clients.

Very poor communication, have to send 3-4 emails because I get one response, they gave us poor and bad information and didn’t do things they promised they had already done. Stay far far away

Absolutely floored with the unprofessional attitude and communication from Doug Kesel. Not only was it unprofessional, we were blatantly lied to. Bad practices put us in an awful spot, and TurboTax would've been a better option!

We have seen so many outstanding reviews for David, and chose this firm based on that. When we met with Doug in December we explained our situation and how we were needing someone to file our taxes. It was understood when we met we were hiring him to file them. We should've known better after emailing and calling multiple times to find out how to go forward with little to no response that we should've chosen a different firm.
Jan 31st - emailed about how to submit documents for our taxes.
Feb 3rd - he responded that he would work to set up a document portal.
March 9th - no portal was set up, we followed up and he finally responded and said he would set it up. It was set up that day.
March 20th - all docs was uploaded, CPA responded acknowledging he received them.
April 26th - Called the front desk twice, got an answer the second time stating he wasn't in the office yet. Received a call back from him, and he stated there was an extension that was filed on our behalf. He then sent initial draft, multiple items were wrong, we emailed him back the changes and the document that was requested.
May 2nd - we had to follow up again asking when we will see an updated draft. Also asked why there were late fees associated if the extension was filed.
May 3rd - Received an updated draft, did not get acknowledgment on why we were assessed a late fee.
May 4th - Told him the draft was good and to file it. No response.
May 9th - Had to ask him if our return was filed.
May 10th - Finally got the vouchers for making the payment. Had to pay a late fee for taxes we were told had an extension filed?

I am beside myself the amount of work we had to put in just to get answers on what was happening on the service we hired this CPA to handle. Disappointed is an understatement. I'll use TurboTax next year and actually have them filed on time, with less effort!

I do not even know where to begin when writing this review.

I will start by saying that we have since hired an incredible CPA who looked over our business and personal tax returns that were submitted by David Kesal's office and they were APPALLED. He said that he has never seen something done so poorly and he ended up recommending an amended tax return.

Trying to get any sort of response from David or Heather Boone is nearly impossible. We had a wage correction that we needed help with and Heather confirmed it was done (after I called her asking about it for two months), but then I got another notice from the IRS saying they still have not heard back. I called their office and David said "oh you never sent the 941s that we needed". I then forwarded him the month long email thread between Heather and I where I sent her the 941s and everything else she needed, it just simply did not get done. ALSO why did Heather confirm that the correction was submitted if they did not get everything they needed to do so? Their communication is absolutely awful.

Ebony at the front desk is an absolute gem. She is so sweet and my hunch is that she is the glue holding this place together. I have never in my life experienced this level of unprofessionalism in an industry that deals with people's tax standing and their livelihood. Stay FAR FAR away from this business.
