Everyone wants to have their loved ones at home but when that just isn’t possible there’s no better place than Deer Creek. I can sleep well at night knowing that even though my mom isn’t “home” she’s at the best home she could have. Excellent care and communication

The new administration at Deer Creek is amazing! The staff is happy, the residents are happy, and the short term rehab patients are happy! This place is thriving! The therapy team is stellar, and the staff genuinely loves working with all of their patients!

Deer Creek Nursing and Rehab has come a long way in a short amount of time. Upon entering you can just feel the positive energy. They are incorporating family and community events and to me that is so important for residents to feel included. To see the looks on their faces to see people coming in and out and even families being able to share moments with their loved ones. These are the moments we live for. It’s important to have a workplace that has a good solid team who strives for the same goal.

There is nowhere else I would choose after seeing the way my grandfather is treated here. Shelly runs a tight ship and Linda is very polite and respectful. She recently was on vacation and Amor did an excellent job at filling her shoes. Thank you all! You are appreciated.

Pleasantly surprised! Years ago I had visited Deer Creek and I was not impressed, but recently was surprised with the community now. It looks and feels totally different. Deer Creek has friendly warm staff with the insides decorated beautifully for Christmas and the community smells clean and nice. I was delighted to find Deer Creek with new management and definitely greatly improved. It’s a beautiful community with a warm friendly homey feeling!

I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer at Deer Creek a few times, and each chance I get to visit I’m overwhelmed by the sense of care and love emanating from the staff. The Christmas event was an absolute joy; the looks on the faces of the residents and visiting families said more than words ever could. The staff is constantly pushing to make improvements to the building and quality of life for the residents, and I’m excited to see the outcome of current works in progress. Senior living facilities are a sensitive subject, and Deer Creek is pulling out all the stops to ensure a safe, caring home for those who live there.

Joe was in there about a month ago. We were helping his wife get through the whole process of him being in the hospital and in rehab at Warm Springs. For whatever reason he was transferred to Deer Creek to end his rehab and they maybe worked with him 4 days out of the week. I spoke with a nurse today and she said this is common of nursing homes to do this as it is the bare minimum that they have to do to be classified as a rehab center also. If your loved one is on anything other than hospice, don't send them here, they will not get the care they need.

Vicki who works at the front desk I'm assuming was very rude and unprofessional. I called to ask if they would bath my grandma and put her in a wheel chair so we could spent time with her outside. And she hung up on me. My grandma was just put on hospice and my family went over there yesterday and said she needed a bath and smelled. I asked if they could do this before I brought my kids there. First of all I should not have to ask them to bath someone in their care. 2nd refusing to let me speak to a supervisor and acting annoyed that I even asked to bath her. I am so disappointed in the lack of humanity and compassion at this facility. I give them zero stars and do not talk to Vicki. She doesn't care

Since the recent changes and great team building, my star rating has gone from 3 to 5 plus. I wish there was a way to put more than five stars. We have so many wonderful staff and the department head team is amazing. The group effort and team work makes the dreams at Deer Creek work and in turn creates a loving and happy place for all of our residents which is always our ultimate goal.

I am the new Marketing Director at Deer Creek of Wimberley. Our building was purchased in September 2022 by a new company. The new company brought in a new Administrator and is committed to making Deer Creek the best possible place for your loved one's short-term therapy or long-term care. If I could 0 stars I would. Care is lacking, at best. Medications were not administered as they should have been because no one bothered to call any family for consent, so they just didn't give them. In less than 48 hours in their care, my mom fell, unbeknownst to them, so who knows how long she was on the floor with a broken and displaced hip. Staff has no care or compassion and does not hold themselves accountable for their actions or procedures. I got the run around for days and when I finally got the Director of Nursing, she was very dismissive, showed no empathy and made no attempt to take accountability. Do not take your loved one, it is not safe! My mom was there in 2019 and it was significantly better than it is now, just don't put anyone in their care, find another place.

This is third time I have come to Deer Creek to convalesce after surgery! I highly recommend the property, staff, management and kitchen. I highly recommend Deer Creek for you and/or your loved ones!

My name is Sandy Slade. All I will say is I worked in 2 homes for 7 years. I designed our Care Plans myself for 200 people. Their plans are non productive. My mom was there for 4 years. She was a retired nurse. I will not mention the hell Roy and Wade put us through. They killed my mom in front of me. I tried to grab her but was not quick enough. I have stacks of papers and most important the narcotic sheet. I an considering a lawsuit against Sava Senior Care. Stay away from the pretend home.
