Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso TX

Unprofessional, the nurse was getting smart. And two other nurses was talking badly about another patient in a different room! This was in del sol emergency room!

It is the worst hospital in el Paso Texas. My wife was admitted because she was short breeding, she spend 8 days in this place called hospital and they found nathing wrong so they sended home. 3 days later she has to fo again because she could breathe. Resultin in a pleural affusion. 8 days and they did nothing. The doctor in charge Dr. Baquer just visitin and said she has biginning of parkinson and mensia, he diagnostic this just from a MRI. Ironick, she jad a pleural effusion. In deed, the worst hospital in el Paso Texas.

They charged over 10k for an IV and pain medication. Don't go unless you absolutely need to. Crazy part, this was in network with Aetna.

This hospital is still operating under Covid policies to not deal with patients families. It’s easier for them to kick people out and threaten you with security. They called security for being in the entrance of the hospital as we consoled one another and waited to be allowed upstairs. They asked us to move close against the wall if we wanted to to be there. We weren’t in anyone’s way. It was my family and another family who just lost a loved one with NO WHERE to grieve in private so there was a good amount of people. They were so inconsiderate and heartless when we had just experience a tremendous loss. No compassion from the hospital or the attending nurse who took over after my loved one passed. She referred to my loved one as a “body” as opposed to her patient. It took hours to get 2 minutes from the attending Dr as well. Go somewhere else for care; this hospital is a disgrace.

My husband and I were hesitant to go to Del Sol to have a procedure done after reading all the reviews. I thank God we went ahead and did our procedure there. I want to give a shout out to Esther, Angie, Genesis, Jake, Cassandra, Bianca, and Diane for making this the best experience possible from the Endoscopy Team. You all made was feel welcome and addressed all our questions and concerned. If we ever have to go back to a hospital, we will choose Del Sol.

I have been totally surprised and grateful and thankful for the wonderful service ofalmost every nurse; doctor and staff at this hospital. However, there was a nurse named Maria on duty the night I arrived. After the flight and two ambulance rides, I informed her I was in tremendous pain. She said she could give me a trammadol, I took that and asked for something else when she Informed they weren't there to stop my pain, only to make it where I could barely manage it. I then asked for water since I had a fever and my leg was so hot and she refused and said no orders. So because of her I sat from 10 pm to 2: 30 am with no water and 10 pm to 3: 30 pm with no pain medication. She is a blemish on the nursing profession and a black eye on Del Sol Medical Center.

My husband had no choice other than the ambulance to bring him to the El Sol Hospital for hip surgery. This hospital is considered a trauma hospital.

I have gone through different medical experiences with my loved ones at this hospital. The convenience of a location has been most of the time for my loved ones to be here. Why? Because I know supervision to medical care has been my goal every time for my loved ones when they have been here. And because it is close to my house, I can go and come back with no problem daily.
So here goes my actual review. Be very aware of what is going on with your loved ones. There are many
young nurses working here. They might have the knowledge but their experience is little. Do not wait for your doctor to call a medical specialist. You tell the nurse that you are requesting a conference with a Urologist, Cardiologist Pain Doctor or a Disease Doctor for instance. Take action, immediately as you see the necessity and you will get things done faster. Many of the doctors on call will not even check your loved one physically. Yes, unfortunately, one has to attend to the necessities of what is necessary to do. Always, educate yourself and request testing when is necessary and things will happen and good luck!

My youngest son and daughter-in-law are about to be first parents and I’m outside in the stupid sun because there are no waiting rooms, meaning we’re going to miss their big moment! I’m very upset as the other hospitals are not like this. COVID is Not an excuse. Not to mention doors are locked to patio so my husband and I had to walk around just to sit in the freakin hot sun! Thank you, Del Sol for ruining this. Booooooo

Makes people wait outside in the heat while their family is in ICU. Only in America will you get heatstroke because you're not allowed inside a hospital while you've paid your entire life for "healthcare"

Worst hospital ever I swear. So racists and very rude nurses. They take for ever to take ur vitals. It’s ridiculous two hours waiting for vitals.

I hate this hospital but it was the closest. My daughter and I arrived at 6 am no other patients. They did a strep test gave my daughter medicine completely ignored me (didn't even tell me what medicine she was receiving or how much) even tho I was there with the same symptoms. We sat in the waiting room for nearly 4 hrs watching other patients come and go. So I get up and asked them how much longer, they said we had been ready to go for a while. They're were going to check with the Dr. They come back a minute later saying they need to check my daughter's temp. During our whole wait they've been in the hallway gossiping and on their phones I'm sure they forgot to get out paperwork.i never received any medicine for my pain.i should listen to people when they say not to come here because it's the worst hospital in El Paso.

Everyone in the ASU/Endo/recovery department were great. They were friendly, helpful and patient. The director for ASU went around and introduced himself to each patient and asked if we needed anything. My nurse Esther B was also very kind and took the time to explain the process. My nurse in recovery although I don't remember his name was also very kind and took the time to call my family member and give instructions.

This hospital is one of the worst in the world! My brother got there with an infection, he was so bad he couldn’t walk and breathe normally, and they weren’t people who kicked him out! Shame on you shame shame shame! May you all be in his place! You swore an oath to help people! Shame on you

This hospitals policy on how many people can be in the room is ridiculous. My sister just passed away and I had family flying in from out of town just to see her and they wouldn’t make any exceptions. Not to mention they make everyone wait outside of the hospital they are extremely in-considerate of people’s situation. I mean I understand that the nurses can’t have it packed in a confined space because then they can’t do there job with it being to many people but what is one more person just for a 5 minute visit. I mean my sister is gone and you can’t let my 79 year old grandparents go in to see their granddaughter? Instead you make them wait outside with no chairs or anything. I actually give the personnel a 4 star rating very friendly and respectful but the hospital itself 2 and they’re lucky to get that. If you can have your loved ones in a different hospital I strongly suggest you do so any of the other ones in El Paso are better then del sol

Natalie, Carlos, Ruben and Tabitha have been so amazing during my visit. It’s really nice to have people who genuinely care about you and treat you nicely. From their introduction to their bedside manner and their kind conversation, you can tell that they are very good at their job.
It seems like they enjoy their jobs as well! Thank you for the great experience during my visit and I am appreciative for your service.

Rude lady staff in the emergency room entrance. My husband was brought in through the ER and the woman there did not let me go in with him. He was in the Providence ER just a week before and with no problems they allow me to be with him. But this woman at the Del Sol is a rude biach. Is a fat woman with short whitish hair

My father was doing terrible, they told us he didn't have much time left at the old hospital back at home. They had to airlift him to Del Sol Medical center, where things began to change within a matter of days. I have never seen my father look and feel so much better in months after arrival. Big shout out to all the staff members handling all the things they did at the CVICU, I cannot thank them enough. Dr. Turbay, Dr. Chuco, and all the great nurses like Enrique, Annette, Amanda, just to name a few, they were the most attentive and outstanding individuals I have ever met, God bless all of you! From the bottom of my heart deep thank you. You all gave us more faith. ️

Took my husband in for a simple procedure, starting at 11: 00 with registration. His actual appointment was scheduled for 1: 30. Dr Lagoria didn’t get there till 3: 00. My husband asked to speak to him but Mr Lagoria was a no show very unprofessional, Late, irresponsible. My husband became very concerned and canceled the procedure. He didn’t trust Dr Lagoria. We’ve also had problems with his staff at his office and Mr Lagoria out sick. Staff never called us back to reschedule appointment. Very disappointed and sad in this Dr Lagoria.

Administrators on Duty are completely unreliable with giving information and will try their very best to refer you to someone else to avoid the extra work. Do not go to this hospital at all cost
