Delia's Specializing in Tamales, San Antonio TX

The Tamales from this restaurant were so good and affordable! The salsa was so good, we went back through the drive thru and got a larger one! Will be back!

The service was great and the place was also clean plus the tamales were delicious I would recommend it to anybody that loves tamales and other specialty they serve there too.

Hands down the best tamales in SA! I'm located far end of the Hill Country area, a good 35-45min drive depending on traffic, and absolutely well worth the drive and wait time in line. I highly recommend going early and plan for at least an hour minimum wait for both drive-thru and dine-in. If you're a tamale snob like myself this is your spot!

Order ahead if possible. We waited about 45 min standing inline. It is worth it. Their tamales are fantastic. Parking is difficult as well. They are really popular.

Great service, and some of the best tamales anywhere around. Not to mention their low prices is why I continue to take our business there over and over. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Pre ordered tamales for scheduled pickup at 2: 00 p.m. For Christmas Eve. Arrived at 1;40 p.m. To find out I had to wait in a line that would exceed a two hour wait. They need a better system.

They are a detail oriented business striving to have the most delicious tamales at a competitive price. I haven't tried all the different varieties of tamales but all the ones Ive tasted are very good and have a good texture with a good amount of filling. The drive-thru lane moves at a good pace, and they are friendly and respond to questions with a smile.

Best Tamales. If there are better tamales, I would like to know where they are. No tamales better than Delias!

These mom and pop places really are horrible. They close no reason given they do as they damn well please. I drove a long way for this! First time I was going to try them out but will certainly not come again!

Visiting from out of town, wanted some good tamales. After reading all the reviews, I decided to get 1/2 dozen each pork and chicken and they were good… until I bit into a long thick red hair in one of the pork tamales and had to pull it out of my mouth. Maybe implement a hair policy? Idk.

I’ve had Delia’s since she sold them door to door in The RGV. It saddens me to say the last batch I bought lacked spices and extremely greasy. In her memory for a company she worked so hard for DO BETTER!

I cannot rate the food or atmosphere since I was unable to get into the restaurant to buy tamales. The wait was insufferable. They need a better way to process orders prior to Christmas. The line was wrapped around the building both times I went- once at 7: 30am and the other at 10: 00 on 12/21 and 12/22. Never again.

Delia's Tamales are the best in town. Bought about 15 dozen for Christmas and they didn't dissappoint. Thing is u better pre-order because if u don't you will never be able to get em.

They have pretty good tamales, but standing in line for 2½- 3hrs for a pre-order is just a lack of preparation and organization. Their pickup system in not at all easy.
