Dillard's, Austin TX

Today Brian, manager of the men’s department, went above and beyond with caring and professional assistance during COVID19. I wanted to pick up 8 polo shirts and 4 ROWM pants for my husband curbside. I don’t think I was following the required protocol by doing this by phone. He never informed of that, but instead hand picked the items and without my asking, sent me text message photos to make sure I felt my husband would like the items he selected. They have a great selection of dresses and you can always find a good sale. Sometimes I just want to browse the department store at the mall. Will I still say this in 10 years?

I've been to Dillard's stores Nationwide. They're all always fantastic, with great sales year round.

Best place to buy clothes when they do a clearance sale. At the sale, you can snag a garment that is marked 65% off with an additional 30% off. Sometimes, after they have done a 30% off sale, they even do additional 40% off a couple months later. For a $100 garment, if it is marked to $35, then 40% off 65% off, it's $21 plus tax. Beware though, sizes will be limited and you'll only have 3 days to return including the day purchased. Store associates are not the friendliest. Oftentimes associates won't check their databases for other sizes at other stores if it's clearance, they give you a store number and you have to call. To send any merch to your house, it's $10 [as of this posting date]. I like Dillards for their Antonio Melani brand, BCBG merch (which is sub-rented to Dillards), Cece, Ralph Lauren, Halston Heritage (select stores), Free People, A loves A, Texas shop (selected stores- with DoubleD Ranch and Tasha Polizzi). You can s nbb ag some killer deals. Shopping their clearance sale gets expensive for me since I find a lot of "good deals. "

They have everything one needs in terms of clothes for men or women, cosmetics, footwear for men or women, jewelry, great purse selections.

Bad customer service. Condescing in fact. Normally a pretty good place to shop with reasonable prices. But today when we asked a saleslady in womens wear about finding a sun dress in the junior wear, she told my wife that mature women don't wear Juniors unless they want to regress to their childhood. And she didn't say it in a nice way either! We will be shopping elsewhere next time where we are treated with respect, or at least where we will not be attacked while handing over our credit card!

Dillards is still about customer service. Sure, everybody orders online, but there's something to be said about customer service and putting your hands on the items you're buying.

It's still nice to see department stores still focused on providing service to their customers. The Barton Creek store is well organized and clean, and if you cannot find what you are looking for, they have people who can help.

It feel super humid and hot inside there and all you want to do is leave as fast as you can to another store. They have cute clothes but not worth staying in a hot area

I found a great blouse at a great price and they had one of the largest selections of bathing suits I have ever seen.

Cierra - Business Manager (fragrance counter) was an absolute delight. We are in visiting from Midland, TX and not only was she efficient and knowledgeable, she directed us to the perfect place for a date night. Good service is hard to come by, she delivered above and beyond. Thanks

Great selection. I love to shop here on January 1 of each year. Men’s suits and dress shirts are usually 1/2 off for the day. There are usually great Christmas merchandise on sale for next to nothing. Make sure and get there before the doors open. It gets crazy

Not as many cute clothes as I thought there would be but they do have plenty of options and prices are reasonable.

The staff we worked with where great. I had a gentleman help me find the perfect combination of dress shirt and pants for my husband. He also help combine it to my son. He was patient and very knowledgeable. And also bilingual which helped so much with my mom who also had a lot of question. We had been going a bit back and forth from upstairs and down stairs department but we came back and checked out with him, as they do get commissions.

This is my clothing go-to place. The quality of brands here is very good. Normally the prices are out of my zone, but, they regularly have discounted clothing and then special days when the mark downs are marked down significantly. I can buy all my work dress shirts for the year here, 6-8 shirts, for under $100! My favorite socks were purchased here and I scored a stylish winter, wool jacket at the end of the season for a great price. This is a great place when you time it right.

I tried calling Dillard's March 10 & no 1 picks up @ women's Chanel Department. I was sold a Chanel Coco Mademoiselle ($146.14) that cannot be smelled, I did not expect this from Dillard's! 1st & last time shopping there! I was unable 2 return an expensive & useless product. Ulta has a much better return policy, awards purchase points, & often sends good coupons!

Horrible service. One lady who was "too busy" to help me find a dress for my daughter's wedding! Long drive and horrible experience. Also, get real women's sized dresses. Not regular designs trying to design up. Horrible designs, selection and way overpriced!

Went to 3 other stores; no one available to help size me for a bra. Hit the jack pot at Dillard's. Aleida found the perfect bra first attempt.

Typical Dillards, if you have seen one you have seen them all. However the woman who helped me at the perfume counter was great. She never made me feel pressured to buy anything even though I did but a few things. She generally runs the Kiehls counter so we went over to her counter. She again didn't pressure me to buy anything but again I bought something. She gave me great samples too. I don't remember her name but she is from Louisiana, she will be my go to salesperson from now on.
