Dinosaur Valley State Park Store reviews
15 The store is cute, has a ton of fun T-shirts and merch (especially in recent years as interest in the footprints has increased) and there are restrooms nearby. Definitely stop here after your camping or hiking trip.
Edit: note that the photos you occasionally see of Dinosaur World in peoples' reviews are not in fact part of the state park (or their store), those are further down the road.
Beautiful colored leaves on trails! Exciting that new tracks have been found! No trails to any of the new ones yet new map gives direction - so it makes you want to explore- with no avail.
Nice park. For equestrians it's does not have many miles for riding but it's good to get them out. You can ride to the river which is nice.
Lots of miles for exploring and hiking, some areas might be closed but you'll still have a good time.
Good place for camping supplies you may have forgotten. Interesting souvenirs, including books about the trees, flowers and dinosaur tracks.
Also you can rent small wagons to pull your camp equipment if you are primitive camping and have a way to go.
Amazing Store. The activities like fossil dig and panning for gems were so much fun. The playground areas are the coolest, too. Love the picnic tables under and awning to give adults a place to sit in the shade and watch their children play. We'll be back!
Nice hiking trails, though some trail maintenance is needed. Parking is tight, especially for large vehicles.
This place is usually busy but we’ll worth it. The place is clean and well kept. There are some hidden spots away from the crowds and worth searching for.
Inexpensive family friendly place. Make reservations ahead of time. Check weather conditions ahead of time.
Overpriced rocks and junk toys from the store manager’s online store (conflict of interest much?). Camping/hiking and forgot something? You’ll be price gouged for that! All to the narrative that the store is run by a non-profit that returns the income to the park (debatable). Come see the footprints but skip the store.
Trails are clearly marked and well maintained. The place is dog friendly! The dinosaur prints are clearly marked on the map. You can even wade in the water to some of them.
All in all, a nice getaway only 1 hour from Fort Worth.
Great place with actual dinosaur footprints.
WAY too many people, clueless how to act.
Wow. 105 million years ago this was Dinosaur Happy Hour
Very interesting. Every kid should see this part of Texas history.
Fantastic and incredible. That after 105 million years you can still see and feel the footprints of the Dinosaurs. A special adventure!
Nice little store for any of the things you forgot to bring and for souvenirs. Very helpful.
