Ridiculous experience here regarding scheduling conflicts/ cancellation fees with Justin Lockhart. Financial stresses & time management were two of my biggest worries discussed in therapy with Justin. His lack of availability/ schedule flexibility resulted in me sprinting through his door at the last second for 4 of our 6 sessions due to my varying work schedule. What would’ve been our 7th session resulted in me attempting to communicate with him via phone call, roughly FIVE hours ahead of our appointment time, that I would not be getting off work in time that evening & would need to reschedule. His response was that if I couldn’t make it to a much earlier appointment the following day, that I would nonetheless still be charged the rate for our session despite not being able to make it, per their same day cancellation policy. BUT, funny enough, the day of our 5th session, Justin texted me with only 40 MINUTES notice before our appointment that he wouldn’t make it & need to reschedule, which I was very understanding of DESPITE already being en route to their location.
Talk about a one way relationship.
Bottom line: extremely poor availability & consideration/ understanding of my schedule, extremely poor communication, & charged me for an appointment that didn’t happen.
There are much better therapists in the area with much better schedules & are much more understanding of yours.
