DK Sushi & Seoul Korean Restaurant reviews
17 Love this spot! Total hole-in-the-wall find. The sushi is nicely and authentically cut. Little bite-sized portions—just as sushi is supposed to be! Like the perfect bite.
They even have a couple of proper Japanese-style dining tables. They also have booths.
Really great atmosphere, particularly while eating. Great spot for a date night or for family and friend gatherings.
Located in a little car parking lot that doesn’t look like much. The outside, however, is hiding a right little gem. Food is good, service is good.
I honestly can’t believe I found this place—proper secret spot.
One of my fav sushi spots. Love that you can sit on the ground. Puked the first time after eating here but it may have been the large amounts of beer I drank before going. Didn't puke the second time. Will update after the third for the rubber match
This place is a gem! My only complaint is having to order through their app & pay as you go. I sound lazy, but I like to stay OFF my phone when I'm out. Sushi is always a great group activity because you can keep adding to your order (as you may still be hungry, or want to go another direction with food and/or drinks), & it just gets a little cumbersome. I can live with it though; if they keep delivering such tasty fare!
Disappointing. And pricey. We haven't been here since before the pandemic, and it's gone downhill. You must make reservations to dine in. No walk ins. No menu. You order and pay through an app. And you have to prepay in full, along with the tip. All that I can handle I'd the food is worth it. The service was good, even though we did all the ordering. The sushi was good, but small portions. The Korean food was not really Korean. E. G.the bulgogi was stirred fried chicken and cabbage in a bland, watery sauce. The soon tofu wasn't much better. Three skimpy sides of banchan. Too bad. This place used to rock. Spend your money elsewhere.
Delicious, no frills spot! We popped in on our way to the airport and we’re so impressed by our meal. The sushi was fresh and thoughtfully curated. I only managed to take one photo during our meal because I was too excited to eat everything. Thanks much!
My favorite restaurant. Had the best nigiri of my life. Sushi is amazing, hot food is great. Atmosphere is wonderful. Employees are super nice. All around the best.
This place is very expensive and not authentic for Korean food. I found a hair in my tempura and the amount of food they give you is not worth the price at all. The appetizer was the same size as the entree. I had the soondobu jiggae and it was bland and watered down. Inside decor is nice though! But I would look elsewhere for good Asian food…I was quite disappointed.
Been meaning to stop by here for a while and glad I finally did! Only got take out but the restaurant is very nice; will definitely be coming back to dine in soon.
Food was great. Had mainly the more traditional Korean stuff and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Simple, delicious, not trying to create new fusion style riffs on anything, just perfect.
I came to visit my friends in Texas and we came here, and we had a great experience. All the servers were super friendly and the food was very good. Pricing are fair for the quality of the food. The chef even gave us a free sample of an item not in the menu and it was delicious! The environment is cozy and perfect if you are looking for good food with some drinks while talking to your friends. When I come back to Austin, I will definitely come here again.
DK has been in my life before sushi was cool Every second is worth the wait when you put that piece in your mouth Family owned means service may take a sec, but it’s gonna be the best damn service out there
A bit expensive for the location and portions. However still giving 5 stars because of their experience and taste. The food is delicious and their service is very friendly and helpful. You order and pay from your phone, and the parking lot is a bit small.
I used to go to DK Sushi North a lot so I was psyched to see this place stay in town and just move south. I got the sushi assortment to go and it was delicious.
Very authentic place, so nice with delicious food! Our dishes were appetising with a great taste.
I highly recommend to order Bibimbap, it is served in the hot stone bowl with a set of small side dishes. It is so delicious because a stone bowl slowly cooks the all ingredients and crisps the rice when you eat. Sushi roll was delicious as well. We ordered a Texas Roll, it is a big futomaki with different kind of fish and tempura shrimp. This place is not so big but definitely worth to visit! Great service, calm and nice atmosphere.
Wonderful little hidden gem. Cozy, delicious, excellent service. If it's the weekend better make a rez!
A hole in the wall! Good sushi. Cozy ambiance! Definitely recommended for an intimate evening
This is my favorite sushi spot in Austin. The food is excellent and not overpriced. I really dig the separate "remove your shoes" seating area. Normally sushi is my wife's thing, so I just get a Sapporo, two spicy tuna rolls and call it day. The wife on the other hand goes to town and tries whatever the special is, along with several other things I can't pronounce. She absolutely loves this place as well and we try to visit at least once a month. The only negative thing is that they are still very COVID safe, and rarely take walk-ins, so you should make a reservation before making the drive. I've been going there for years, and I do miss having a server there to answer questions and make recommendations, but I get it. Better safe than sorry.
We love everything we've tried here. The yellowtail with jalapeño, lemon, and garlic is one of my favorite things I've ever eaten. Also highly recommend the escolar. High quality, fresh ingredients levels above other sushi places. Customer service is always great too!
