Long to get served, but other than that, great place, great food, great beer selection, awesome kids playground.

I’m going to guess they’ve had better days. But this day. 10 min for a server to check in with me. One bartender. Couldn’t make the drink I ordered off their menu. Couldn’t substitute a different tequila for the drink. Really? ! Servers running around saying someone needed to stop and clean the silverware. They were out. In the end. The server gave me my drink for free, which was a nice gesture

Doc’s Backyard is a great place for families to hang out under a small grove of live oak trees. They have a large outdoor area, with many picnic tables and a play area. Despite there being many people and kids running around, I was able to find a seat and was waited on quickly by very friendly staff. Doc’s has a full bar and at least 20 beers on tap. The basic cheeseburger was charbroiled and good, but was slightly overcooked - I also sampled the cheese fries which were the bomb. Looking for a place where a few couples can hang out together with their kids and also get a few beers? Look no further. The patio is dog friendly too!

Terribly overpriced for the value. Should have gone to Sonic. Watch out or you'll end up paying $40 for tater tots and bad quesadillas.

One of my favorite dishes is fish tacos. Their shrimp tacos are also delicious. Mayter of fact all their food is very good.

This place has a lot to offer, however. Service is terrible and is a complete mess on staffing. Closed thre kitchen with a packed house due to staff shortages and "other" issues. We were there with (25) or more people and never got served. I guess just tired of bad, overpriced, everything.

We had a really great experience here, even on a busy Sunday. The food was excellent, the outdoor space is great to enjoy and a lot of fun for kids in the playground area. The service was impeccable - our server was awesome, probably the best we’ve had in Austin ever. Really enjoyed our time here today.

P.s. Their fried pickles are the best!

This was very nice family friendly restaurant. First the service was a 10. Sarah our server was so nice and checked on us she was amazing. The food was so delicious. I love hamburgers and we never find a place that I can say. Oh yeah I'm coming back for this. Well I'm saying that now. The burgers were so good. My husband isn't a fan of burgers but he enjoyed his he had a tort burger. Came with a tortilla instead of a bun. So I'll be doing that at home now for him. It had pico de Gallo, guacamole, and cheese. This restaurant had tvs for sports and playground outside for kids and Outdoor seating. Very nice I think I found a top 5 for me. Please hit a thumbs up on my post.

Overall great but Holy WOW is that toilet paper bad. Bathrooms are clean and nice, don't get me wrong. But christ on a Christmas cake you could print legal documents on that TP.

I don't fear death. I do fear having to use that TP again. Next time you're here feel the napkins. Then feel the TP. There is no difference.

Why not have proper chair back bar stools?

We have always loved this place but this will be the last time we will go there. We ordered queso and sent it back because it was cold and watered down. They said they would take it off the bill but then we got the bill and I’m they charged us $21 per pitcher of beer! Their menu said it should have been $12!

Decent service, lots of tvs, no working heaters for the fact that the majority of the place is outdoors. Blackened shrimp was great, fish not so Much.

Nice outdoor place to eat! Plenty of tv's to watch sports! Has playground for kids to spend the time!

Doc’s is always reliable - you get good food and drinks every time and never have to wait for a table! This is our go-to when we know the rest of Austin restaurants will be extremely packed (pretty much any day of the week). We love the outdoor seating and have also met friends there who have little kids - they love the playground area!

We love this bar, the kids have a great playground and have always had great service. The food is good bar food too.

Love the indoor or outdoor seating. The food is always great. It is bar food prices, but the flavors are elevated. Just delicious. Service was great, waitstaff was attentive.
