Dollar General, San Antonio TX

I love this Dollar General because I know the staff pretty well. They are always helpful and very friendly. No complaints!

I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I should start at the moment I walked in their doors and was immediately told I have to leave my backpack at the front of the store which contains some of my valuables. Now don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with having to leave my backpack at the front of the store I completely understand that they're thieves out there and policy is a policy. But what I don't understand is a way it was told to me it was very rude the way I was told to leave my backpack at the front and it seem like more of an order from a drill sergeant in a request with manners from an employee. Very unprofessional not to mention the fact a couple of the employees pretty much in every respect followed me around the store in the most obvious of way, while trying to blend in an act like they're doing some type of work-related tasks and it just happens to be a task that needed to be done on every aisle that I went to. So ridiculous and very frustrating and insulting. The slap one word on it disrespectful. I don't care what I look like how many tattoos I have what clothes I'm wearing or what the hell they think as far as stereotypes go bottom line is I'm a paying customer and I'm in that establishment to spend money and I'll be damned if I'm going to be treated like a criminal and insulted and humiliated by being followed around and barked it as soon as I enter the store to leave my backpack in the front. No professionalism whatsoever horrible service I regret that I have to go back because it's a store that has Necessities I need otherwise I would never go there again they get to thumbs-down and I didn't even want to give them one star but I don't think you can do that. Let me sum it up Dollar General sucks put a f****** smile on and quit harassing customers

Very long line to wait in just to get to the front and they didn't even have my cigarettes in stock.

Nicest Dollar General I've been to. Isle's were clear, shelves were mostly straight. As always, you do have your panhandlers by the door, and the area isn't the place you'd want to be after dark. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again.

I prefer this location and store over the surrounding Dollar General's in the same area. Clean and organized

Dollar G always comes in clutch for last minute items you need and want to avoid big crowds.

The Halloween candy, decorations, and candy bags were priced great. Very nice and jovial cashier.

I want to share this to anyone who reads these that this Dollar General has an amazing team because of Dawn the manager keeps a tight ship and her employees are very helpful and customer oriented. I also would like to thank Kasey, John and Katlyn with the long brown hair for Always treating people like they would like to be treated.

Very good store great customer service friendly employees clean store great products and great prices! Covid-19 safety measures enforced for our safety great job Dollar general.

Love going to my dollars general on 5514 old HWY90 the ladys there's are very nice Hi and By always and they will help you and time

Well its really convenient and the employees are nice but the customers are the ones to watch out for run to your car if its dark out

My experience at Dollar General it's always great they greet you as you walk in and they said you have a good evening have a good day or whatever the case may be they're always helpful and my son always gets a pet food from there and whatever we need thank you very much
