Don Pedro Mexican Restaurant reviews
12Came here for the first and Last time.service was horrible here. I ordered an appetizer, that they forgot and brought it after dinner. There was 14 of us. Which she did get gratuities from each group, and on my ticket was just myself and I. She took order in groups, which was convenient but there was hair in my food and it wasn't mine. I have short pixie hair lol
It did not taste like Don Pedro's bc I have been goin there for over 20 years, it has changed
You have to try their Margaritas, beware of the jumbo size if your driving, the food is excellent Mexican cuisine. I've been going to this place for 45 years, and it's great. If you visit San Antonio this is a must try restaurant. The quickie plate and #2 enchilada plate is my favorites.
I tried the torta the last time i went, big, big mistake! It was the most expensive torta I have ever had & the worst I have ever had! Stay away from the torta.
I enjoyed the food, hot, fresh and full of flavor. I used to come here with my parents when I was young. It was good to come back after so many years. The chips seem to never change.
First time here for a client lunch. Clean. Good service. The mango margarite was tasty and not too sweet or sour. The shrimp cocktail was large and full of shrimp, on the spicy side. The queso flameado was quiet greasy but very delicious. Tortillas were very good. My colleagues enjoyed both of their steak plates very much. Not a si gle complaint. The chips are also a favorite!
Food was terrible, not to mention our bill was messed up with the 2nd party we were with. So I ordered a chicken taco salad. What I got was a lettuce salad. I expected beans rice in the salad. But all it was lettuce.
Classic Tex Mex resistant.if people are visit ing from out of town, this is where you ships bring them.
Getting seated took a little long but even though we were seated after 11 am they still served us breakfast.
The chilaquiles a la Mexicana was delicious.
Used to come here when I was a kid, first time back in over 30yrs. The building is bigger than I remember and incredibly clean, which is remarkable for it's age. The food is excellent and the service is even better. My waitress was Susanna and she did an amazing job but what was more impressive was how well the staff communicated and worked together to take care of their guests. This is a lost art in today's service industry and I highly recommend stopping by for lunch to see them in action and experience what has kept this place thriving for so many decades. Plus, the chips are incredible, I think they sprinkle them with fairy dust or something can't stop eating them even though I'm so full I could pop!
Food is always great service is great and calm nice atmosphere definitely should try the enchiladas with don pedros chili
Don Pedro's is the okayest. We ordered the al pastor tacos, the regular dinner, and the nachos rancheros. Not the best you can get in San Antonio. The atmosphere feels dated, the service was great and we really enjoyed the fully dressed topo chico mineral waters.
