Donn's Barbeque & Catering reviews
17Big Sanwhiches, both their brisket and turkey, were tasty. Nearly put me to sleep. Highly recommend, considering they are next to a hotel off the highway.
Okay for a quick bite. Not the best bbq in the city though. But a fair price/quality ratio.
The absolute best burger in Austin! Juicy meat patty, fresh bun, just delicious through & through! Didn't realize it would be so big so I had to pack half of it for later. Great flavor, speedy service, friendly staff. I: be had their BBQ, breakfast tacos, Tex-Mex and more and everything is always on point! Fresh dessert including banana pudding & a variety of pies.
First time ordering from this location after trying some food from a co-worker. Had put in an order for pick-up through Uber Eats at around 6am with the order still taking over an hour and a half to complete (still waiting on a re-order as I am writing this) and when I tried to call about it I couldn't get an answer on the phone.
I am fully aware of how busy a restaurant can get but this is ridiculous. Also, Ubereats needs to do a better job with communicating when a driver has been reassigned, espeically if they feel the tip is not enough for the hassle (I don't make the percentages/pricing on the platform so don't take it out on me.).
Clean local with a little wear of seating. The moist brisket sandwich was delicious, the serving of cold slaw was very large but taste was not blend. Over all good lunch place.
The food is great always but I got delivery and I had too cancel it because it almost took an hour and there was no one in the store. While I was waiting for the delivery in a booth for so long a gentleman came up too me and tryed to talk me into driving him to drop something off.so I canceled and left. Foods greats though!
Great price for the quality and amount of food you receive. The BBQ is great and the fried onion rings are a must!
I always get breakfast tacos here. They are the best! Also make sure to stop at the salsa bar.
I definitely want eat here again. The
brisket was very dry and the ribs was dry as well. The favor was disgusting. I stop because of some of the reviews but I was dissatisfied with my meal.
Thank you for your service and thank you for my big baked potato with brisket was very very delicious I loved it and your restaurant is clean and I love coming there I will be back there one more time soon
I have breakfast there every Wednesday and Thursday with family. They treat my 96-year-old extremely nice.
They don't have waiters and waitresses. So that's basically why I am al ittle confused.
Food was okay. Nothing much to complain about, but also noting really special. Service was fast and parking was easy to get
I was only in there for 2 min picking up a to-go order. It was nice and cool in the restaurant and had nice vibe. Windows were tinted which I liked. I wasn't going to leave a review but the food was so freaking good it convinced me to. I had the 3 meat plate with brisket sausage and ribs with fried okra and potato salad as the sides. Ooh la la I will be back
The macaroni and cheese is freakin ' out of this world! The best I've had in Auustin! Period. Pork ribs were devine and the chopped beef sandwiches were huge! Loved it!
Breakfast tacos are terrific and affordable - migas is my personal favorite! The staff is friendly and even learned my "go to" order after only a few visits. Affordable, down-to-earth, gem of a restaurant in the old-school Austin vibe where it doesn't cost $50 to eat out.
I like to try local restaurants when I travel. I can get Burger King or McDonald's anywhere. In this case, either of the above choices would have been better.
The restaurant was not well kept. The food portions were ample but very underwhelming. The food was also lukewarm, which is surprising because it is prepared in an open kitchen setting.
The sweet tea was absolutely delicious though.
I'd suggest trying a different restaurant if you are in the area.
