She needs to be more personable with her patients as well as spend more time ensuring patients understand their diagnosis, as well as treatment options.

PLEASE READ. I changed doctors after two appointments (only saw Dr Koch once since I left after waiting three hours) but at my confirmation appointment when regular blood work is usually done, they ran genetic testing without informing me and without consent. So now I have a $6000 bill for a test that isn’t even valid at 5 weeks pregnant! No one is responding to my calls.

AND I SEE ON THE REVIEWS THAT THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO OTHERS! This is sloppy at best but possibly extremely problematic…. PLEASE consider before going to this office!

Dr Koch is an amazing doctor. She really listens to my concerns and answers all of my questions. I feel very comfortable talking with her. She's not judgmental and she has a very kind heart.

This is my first pregnancy so I don’t have another doctor to compare to. But overall very friendly. Long office wait for short interactions. Doesn’t explain tests or results unless you ask had to Google a lot of things or ask other people. Haven’t given birth yet hoping she & the staff listens to my birth plan & needs. Heard by word of mouth that Las Palmas is the best place, I pray we have a great experience as well.

I found Dr. Koch since this is my first pregnancy and after doing research I thought she might be a great choice. Unfortunately, that was the complete opposite experience. I didn't think much the first 2 appointments. I was a little confused why I couldn't get my test results online or through virtual appointment because there wasn't any real reason for me to keep going in every 2 weeks. But then my 3rd appointment happened and I was very confused because I find out that along with the regular blood tests they did a genetics test on me. This was not something I was informed on at all. I didn't sign any forms nor was I spoken to about any kind of testing other than the usual blood test. I have nothing against genetic testing, it's just that from everyone I have known that has had a baby, it is something that is offered but not something done without your knowledge. That felt like the doctor wasn't being very open about anything. She only sees you for 3 minutes out of the couple hours you end up being there and she doesn't say much. She smiles a lot but isn't informative at all. If you have questions, don't expect much of an answer. Then she tells me I am a carrier for some genetic diseases that I looked up, they aren't really anything serious, but she urges to do a blood test on the baby and my husband as if it was dire. It wasn't. Then I start getting these crazy bills that my insurance didn’t fully cover because of all the extra unnecessary stuff they were doing. For one, you don't need an ultrasound every time you go into the doctor. The only people I ever knew that did were people who had issues during pregnancy. Two, I was being told to come in every other week for an appointment, which was also unnecessary. I have a healthy pregnancy but they kept saying we had to come in for everything. Finally, we decided to move OBs because this is crazy. I had been scheduled 4 appointments in less than 6 weeks for no apparent reason. And ever time, including when you just come in for test results, they insist on an ultrasound, no matter what. So, finally my husband calls and says we want my test results. He is able to do that since I signed the papers so he can get my information. I hate phone calls so he does all of that stuff. It's never a problem anywhere else but they kept acting strange with him. They told him I had to come in for an ultrasound and when he said no, they said they'd call back. They never called back until I cancelled the appointment. Then suddenly their phones worked and they said I had to come in for an ultrasound because that was how the doctor prefers to do appointments. We just wanted the rest results for what our baby's sex was and that was it but this became a thing of pulling teeth. Through the rest of the day I got 4 more phone calls insisting the doctor is now concerned about me and needs to do an ultrasound. This felt very manipulative and I don't trust doctors that say something might be wrong just to get you to go to another appointment with them. Finally, Dr. Koch herself calls saying she's really worried about me because she needs to check my placenta. I'm not that far along and anyone that has had a baby or knows the process knows that the placenta isn't checked for issues until around 18 weeks. When my husband actually got the results 4 days after we initially tried to get them, he asked if there had been any concerns about the baby or if they had seen anything wrong when it came to the placenta and they said, no, there was nothing about that. I can't trust a doctor that is willing to lie to me just to get me to come to an appointment. There were many other issues but those are just the ones that made me sure I wouldn't want this Doctor overseeing my pregnancy or delivery.

I have been through hell ever since Dr Koch placed my iud. I just got surgery at UMC after the third Obgyn I’ve seen this year finally listened to my symptoms and took my pain seriously. Dr Koch has given me the wrong instructions for medication, she induced my best friend for labor a week early for no reason ($$) so they had to do an emergency c section, she told me not to worry about an abnormal pap bc I don’t have hpv when she was the one who told me I do have hpv. She only gives patients 10 mins of her time and 3% of her focus. Her bedside manner is polite but she could have killed me. Whatever she did when she placed my iud left me with an infected fallopian tube that has been leaking into my abdomen all year and if the UMC team didn’t investigate I probably would have died because Las Palmas said to just wait it out and I was coming down from the iud hormones

I had my c-section with her, my gynecologist was on vacation and she had to cover it
And an excellent doctor, she was very kind, beautiful and super professional.

She was my OBGYN in 2021, and absolutely loved her. My baby is turning two this month and to this day I think about her because of how amazing and comfortable my experience was due to her being so kind if I still lived in El Paso she’d be my doctor again for baby #2

She is a beautiful doctor! From the moment you arrive she makes you feel loved, she cares, they serve you quickly, it doesn't take long, she is very pretty in many ways, I highly recommend her

Doctor Koch was great for delivering my son but when it comes to care for myself don’t expect much time or attention.

I came in to get a cyst removed, we had a pre operation appointment, we made a plan for the operation. They forget to schedule my surgery for a month! I had to call and fight to get this very painful cyst removed.

The day finally comes to get it removed, I’m prepped ready and put to sleep. Wake up and was told that they didn’t operate bc it’s something else and told me to reschedule to get ANOTHER examination. Long story short I’m switching OBGYN

I love Dr. Koch! She’s very welcoming and has such a nurturing personality, she’s very easy to trust, the office staff is amazing as well?

Dr. Koch has been amazing! I cannot recommend her enough! She has helped me so much and I am so grateful to have such a caring and outstanding doctor. Her staff is very courteous and helpful as well. 10/10 recommend!

I cannot thank Dr. Koch and her staff enough for all the great care and support! I have been with her for almost 3 years and Im beyond satisfied with the care. I wish i would've known about her with my other kids due to having bad experiences with other OBGYN'S. She really listens to you and provides you with all the information you need and makes your pregnancy feel safe and smooth this is my OBGYN for life! Please never retire Dr Koch lol. The staff is super nice as well!

Dr. Koch is a beautiful caring and sweet doctor and as her patient I have complete confidence in her. I know that there is miscommunication between Dr and staff, but it took exactly one week to get the prescription to the pharmacy and that was calling the office almost daily to inquire when it would be sent. It was only after the office called with the results of the visit, did someone actually follow up on the prescription. This was not the first time that this had happened.

We just moved here from Las Vegas so switching doctors in the middle of my pregnancy was definitely a challenge. I’ve done a ton of Research on Physcians in El Paso.
Her entire office staff was incredible! Shout out to Rose for being so patient regarding our insurance info
