I ordered two wood fire Taco Loco, with an apple soda. The service was great. They offered a tortilla without cheese to accommodate my diet restrictions. Next time I am in Austin I will return to Dos Batos!

I am loco for the Taco Loco - it is a low carb lovers delight (vegetarians look away now) :

They make the “tortilla” for your taco from seared cheese. There is chicken and beef with guacamole inside. I love the salsa verde. Everything is made in-house from scratch: the spicing on the meat, the salsa.

Love the salsa verde - roasted jalapeños puréed with the oil they were roasted in is a personal favorite.

This is a 5 star for what it is: This is a locally owned and run spot running out of a strip mall.

Ample parking. Dietary considerations are honored. Easy access for people with disabilities. This is proof you can take everyone’s needs into consideration at affordable prices.

Great quality for your money.

2 Batos Tacos Pirata are the best tacos ever. Tasty high quality steak, cheese and avocado MMM. Tortillas are freshly made at the restaurant. The spicy Mexican beer is delicious too. I am from Monterrey Mexico and this taco pirata transports me to my home town. What a delicious and unique experience!

Dos Batos in Austin offers great food, but the tacos are a bit pricey for their size. The pollo and steak tacos were both tasty, but the steak stood out as the better choice. Lively atmosphere and friendly service make it a great choice for a quick bite

Just moved to Austin and found my favorite taco place after trying a few others. Dos Batos is very consistent in their food, it tastes amazing! Never been disappointed. The corn is also to die for, so delicious! Take out is quick and easy.

This is the only taco restaurant I've been to in Austin that serves wood fire smoked meat on their tacos, which is very special. Hence, I've been taking friends here for that and they all seem to like it too.
Highly recommend!

I tried this place out on a whim seeking out some nachos. I prefer melted "queso" instead of shredded cheese on mine and this spot met my preference. I found the nachos to be reasonably priced at about $10. This includes your choice of meat, queso, jalapeños (fresh not pickled), beans, avocado and corn over a bed of chips. The quality and quantity is an amazing value! The meat is tender and has a nice flavor. The queso was simple with very minimal flavor however with the other toppings it all balanced out. I added extra queso for a reasonable $1.50 which made my chip to cheese ratio perfect.
The staff were professional and my food was delivered quickly. It was lunch time and only 2 other people were there when I arrived. It did pick up before I left. I enjoyed the music selection I found it to be upbeat. I would definitely return to try the cheese wrapped taco and more nachos.

If you are in the mood for truly authentic, tasty "Piratas" from the North of Mexico, you MUST go to Dos Batos. They are the best wood fired tacos in Austin by a country mile! Their tortillas are made on site and they are fantastic. Their guacamole is also a must.

Oustanding tacos, salsa, and margs. Fun smoky flavors and yummy homemade tortillas. Kind of a funny location and atmosphere but loved growing up right by this place!

Dos Batos is one of my favorite fast-casual restaurants! The magic begins with their wood-fired grill and mesquite. My go-to tacos are Pirate and Ostin. One over-stuffed taco and a side of complimentary chips + salsa is plenty for me. Never too crowded, but always buzzing with good music, excellent service, and happy customers. Always a joy!

Hands down the best mexican food in the area. Meals are rich in flavor, service is top notch, has good open space, great vibes, and you will not be disappointed with this sweet spot.

Woodfired premium tacos are amazing! Ive been coming here for years. They have no carb cheese tortillas to boot if you are keto/low carbing it.

LOVE Dos Batos! The food is consistently delicious and fresh. Today my mom wanted to go somewhere special for lunch and it’s the first place I thought of. She had the brisket taco and charro beans. I had the pollo hybrid tacos, both come with avocado (but we are allergic, so they kindly left that off!) Spouse had a half salad with choice of toppings. The salsa is sooo good, and tortilla chips come with your tacos. The whole restaurant smells of the wood fired grill, it’s wonderful. There is also amazing art on the walls!
Today I asked if it was a family owned business and the very nice cashier confirmed.

First time here. On the outside doesn’t look that good but once you’re inside it’s a beautiful. Large menu very flavorful veggie options. Very clean definitely a must try.
