Downtown Dentistry, San Antonio TX

I'm on vacation in San Antonio from Florida.
I had implants done several months ago (in Fl.)
Today I was having lunch and the healing cap unit came loose and fell out.
We called Downtown Dentistry and explained my situation.
They got me and Dr. Chou was able to reinstall the cap.saving our vacation.
Great experience and much appreciated.

Been a patient at downtown dentistry for 10+ years, it has always been a family like atmosphere and practice, this was true until the new doctor purchased the practice. All previous employees have been driven off by the rude new doctor, some had been with the practice for 30+ years, tossed away as if their years of service mean nothing. It's very sad to see what has happened to this once great practice. We will not be returning after hearing how the new doctor is treating his staff. No respect towards women, or clientele. It is painful to give this once great office a one Star review.

I would recommend time and time again. I know that stepping into a dental office is often not the most comfortable place for many. If you've ever felt this way I would encourage you to give this practice a try.

They are efficient, kind and very good at what they do. Donna did my initial cleaning, x-ray and check up. She was very attentive and made sure to ease any nerves of mine throughout the entirety of the appointment.

If I have to go to a dentist, I wouldn't choose any other! Dr Richter and his staff are the BEST!

The staff is friendly and the location is close to my office. However, each time I went to this office for something that should have been 1 visit, it turned into 2. During my cleaning, the hygienist pulled a wire out from my permanent retainer. I didn't notice until later when I ate lunch and was being stabbed by the wire. I returned to the office the next day to have it fixed. My next appointment was for a filling. The dentist filled the tooth to the point where I could no longer floss in between that tooth and the next. I returned the next week to have it fixed which was rather painful as he continuously tried to force floss between the teeth. I left with very sore gums and a notice from the receptionist that payment was due. I contacted the office to let them know I was not happy with either of my visits but no one ever returned my call or email.

My child's dental visit was very prompt and thorough. I am always provided with details regarding how his teeth are currently doing as well as what to expect in the future. I unaware that he still had 9 baby teeth! That's good info. It was also explained to me that based on his jaw size, he should be a big adult. Fascinating info! Thanks Downtown Dentistry!

Ask for Charlotte if you want a gentle hygienist that won't yell at you for not flossing. And if you are a car guy, Doc is the best!

The staff at Downtown Dentistry is first class. High quality workmanship from a caring group of very nice people. Plus Dr. Richter is an old Navy guy that likes baseball, what more could you ask for?

Fantastic! I had the most wonderful dentist experience of my life. I am from Europe and had no idea how insurance things worked. The front desk lady was so helpful, friendly and beyond professional. I then had my teeth cleaning with Angela, the dental hygienist, and she was fantastic. She did an amazing job, and she would not let me go until she made sure I had no more stains on my teeth (she told me she was very perfectionist). She answered all my questions and made sure I would not get any surprise on the billing part. She also is a true asset to this place. Finally, the Mr. Richter DDS was incredibly efficient as well. I am picky when it comes to health & medical but absolutely recommend this place! I'll stay with them as long as I can.

I am so glad that I found Dr. Richter! I moved to Castroville a year ado but I work in San Antonio. A good dentist has always been priority for me (my mother was a dental assistant for over 40 years). Dr. Richter and his staff at Downtown Dental provide top quality painless services in a clean comfortable office. Dr. Richter and his staff are pleasant - dare I say fun - to interact with so the visit is not at all stressful. Although the office is downtown, patients can park free in the Travis Park Plaza garage just behind the office so long as the receptionist validates your parking ticket. If you need an excellent dentist in the San Antonio area, do not hesitate to call Dr. Richter and his team!

Very comfortable so I can relax while work gets done. Everyone I've dealt with there has professional and welcoming.

I had a dental emergency while traveling and Dr. Richter got me into his office right away, diagnosed the problem and started treatment. He was kind and helpful and the office staff were great. Although I had only a brief experience, I felt great confidence in Dr. Richter, and if I lived in San Antonio would use him as my regular dentist!
