Dr. Huy Q. Nguyen, MD, Garland TX

I don’t have height expectations but the staffs are so rude and unprofessional. During business hours phones never pick up for first time call and they don’t spend time to searching special dr. In network if you need to refer to another You have to find out by your self and I let you know you never make it even you called your insurance thousand times I love dr. Huy but he better hire another team to work with him I would say couples Vietnamese ladies in the front desk and Vietnamese nurses act. Liked they not happy when they work there remember we pay the insurance and copay for their work.

Those two Vietnamese girls in front desk is unprofessional, meant and no educated, they shouldn’t work there in public services!

If I could give this doctor and his absolutely rude staff a zero star I would!
What horrible service! From the second you walk in to the second you leave! They take your money, barely check you and refuse to sign or give you any documents when you leave even when you request it. Stay away!

I called for the appointment many times. The just pick up the phone and asked me to wait a senconds then i have to wait on the phone about 5-6 minutes. I tried to call back couples times. Don't waste your time here.

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! I would put 0 star for this office if I could. I chose this office because my parents can't speak English, and it would be great for them to talk to the doctor themselves. The first appointment was great for the blood work and check-up; I did not have high expectation since I saw many terrible reviews. I noticed there are a couple of good reviews, so I decided to let my parents try. Everything went downhill after the first appointment. There are plenty of good Vietnamese doctors out there and please don't settle for this place. You will regret it.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE. The staffs are rude, disrespectful, uneducated, unprofessional, and do not care about the patient (unsympathetic). The receptionist does not want to talk to me when I call, unreachable calls during business hours because I had to call 5 times to get to them. I can never make an appointment for my parents when they are sick; the staffs always say "first come first serve" during the walking time.
The only time my parents got an appointment is when they make it months ago for the annual check-up, but I don't think they like to take in a sick patient.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE and FIND A GOOD OFFICE.

Honest opinion from someone who is very familiar with the medical profession.
This clinic overall appears to be operated by families members, thus lack of training and very poor communication with patients. Staffs was always on the defensive side when being approach by family members in regards to patient care. No follow up or responsibility for the patient’s case unless family members consistently going after them.
In general, I’m not recommending this location due to terrible recent experience mainly because of unprofessional and untrained staffs. No matter how great the physician is, it takes team work to have a successful medical team and provide great patient care. Feedbacks needs to be given to the team and perhaps more training could be provided to improve the practice.
I think staffs here spends more time being defensive and rude to family members rather than spending more time helping to resolve issues. There needs to be more compassion towards patients and their family members rather than straight up business minded. This would have never occured in the hospital bc patient’s advocate would be invilved right away. Unfortunately, we have other priorities that including dealing with medical issues for our little one right now rather than wasting time taking this situation to higher ups. Hope this review helps when deciding to establish care.

My parents as many other people choose this clinic because they dont speak English well and they think they would get help from the staff but they so wrong. The front desk staff is worst. They dont respect their patients especially the old one. I have witnessed they talk to the patients like yelling at them.

The nurse name NiNa speaks very disrespectfully to the patient. Saying unscrupulous and unscrupulous words she does not deserve to wear a doctor's dress. The office will lose a lot of patients if she is still in office.room.

Terrible service, staffs are so rude and unfriendly. I took my friend to this place.while waiting for my friend, i saw how they treated other customers in a hostile way. I was about to get a health check up here but i changed my mind after this.

Dr Nguyen is terrific. His staffs are very friendly and compassionate. I can get an appointment quite easily. Don't take my words for it, just drop by and say hello.

Dr. Nguyen is a great doctor, however getting an appointment booked is the most terrible thing you have to go through, their staff is the worst they lost my childs chart! He has strep throat and they do nothing to work with fitting you in, this place is the worst!

Suck place. My son is fever at 102, and had return from Armstrong elementary school. My son had appointments by 4 pm but he came early by 2 and i explain to receiptionist his fever. Dr. Huy came out one time, I talked to him about my son's sick. He confirmed my son is on fever. No one call check in, no services at all until I wait 1 hours later in the lobby. I checked with the front desk. They told nurse will call to check the temperature and give the medicine.we do not know when call, still waiting here since we watch the Car movie until it 's finished but we never got a call for medicine. Suck place ever change. No improvement. I do not know why I have Dr Huy as my family doctor. As family, he should help his patients first insist take walking patients. I give one start to this clinic because I never see this clinic progress better since 2012. They always want more people but they never improve any thing at all

Dr Huy Nguyễn is the greatest family doctor in Garland. I am so blessed being his patient for many years.
