Dr. J Express Care, Abilene TX

We were in and out so quickly. Each person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful and competent. The office was clean and the chairs were spaced out enough so I didn’t feel too close to other patients. I’m thrilled with the care that we received while we were there.

Brelynn up front was super friendly! And the nurse who helped us, Abbey, was super friendly and made the covid test super easy! Oksana the nurse practitioner was so nice and listened to us!

Im really disappointed with my visit today. This is the first time I've been in here since it became next care. I called before I came at about 830 am on a Friday. I was told the earliest time I could book was 11am. She also said no one was in line so I could just walk in. So I did. Not a soul was there like she said. After about 20 minutes younger folks (teenagers) started rolling in. Three of them came in about 15 minutes apart. Every one of them was seen before I was. Every single one. I was in the lobby for at least 45 minutes.

When they finally brought me back I waited another 20 for the doctor to come in. I had to go do labs with my primary care that day and they were now running me into that appointment time. I told them this and ask how much longer it'd be. They said they'd get me taken care of. This was followed by more waiting and I eventually had to cancel my labs which were for my Tuesday appointment. I'll have no labs on file for this appointment because I had to wait so long. Meanwhile all those kids were in and out in probably half an hour with not a thing to do the rest of the day.

Patients physically present in the lobby shouldn't take a back seat to internet loving kids. I dont think any person over the age of about 50 will use or understand an online check in. Not to mention they never even told me about it when I called before I came.

I tried to run through the online check in process myself just out of curiosity since I had to wait so long anyhow. It would not let me past the take a picture of your i.d. Page. Id take the photo and it would recognize it. I couldnt even go to the next page.

I am in disbelief on how this all went down. First of all I went in with 1 person in lobby and waited almost 45 mins. Once I went back to room the dr took about 5 mins to come to room. Talked to me for less than 60 secounds and said "I'll refer you" then left the room and came back about 10 mins later and gave me papers for a refferal. They charged me $350 for that! No test done at all! This place is the last place you want to come in for quick advice! Crooks!

Great experience, they seemed to be seeing patients efficiently and I liked having a text to let me know I was checked in and then being able to track my place in line. Everyone was very pleasant when I interacted with them.

The staff was wonderful from just checking in to the medical assistant to the physician everyone was so patient and friendly with my three year old who was not wanting to help because she was in a ton of pain thank you so much

Dr Js on Catclaw always exceeds my expectations. Staff is friendly and fast to get me seen and on the mend ASAP. I love that I can check in online and be taken care of, especially on a Saturday! Thanks dr js staff!

Had a good experience, had a short wait but that was fine. Great staff, all my questions and concerns were answered. Would definitely recommend this place. It helped me alot with my problem, was even open on Sunday which was a plus for me.

Walked In close to closing. Was seen super quickly. The staff was excellent and professional. Was treated with great care and kindness. I have confidence recommending Dr. J for your urgent care needs!

Lady at the front desk was unnecessarily rude to me. I have an infection but they couldn’t see me so I asked what I could do in the meantime, she gives me attitude and says ‘I don’t know’ Not even a little bit of advice or reassurance. Yeah never going back there.

The staff got to me quickly. They kept me informed on all that they were doing. My case required a referral. They prepared all necessary referral paper work. The staff was prompt, professional, courteous, and caring. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Called in to see what the heck all this mess is that’s going around. They made me an appointment to come in, in less than 30 minutes, and already checked me in! I filled out paperwork & was called back at the correct time. All nurses were very nice and personable & the doc also! I feel like they took great care of me & listened to my concerns etc.will definitely go back when needed

We made an appointment online. They saw my child and I together the weight was short and they were very knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again.

Everyone was caring and sweet from the receptionist to the nurse to the physician assistant. The time was a in and out it wasn't a rushed process the physician assistant listen to me I listened to her we had a plan and I'm just waiting for the results

My visit was great. The staff was caring and very attentive. I especially want to give a shout out to Elizabeth and Kim, Abbey and Meghan, and Jody and Oksana! The wait was short and they made a dr’s visit enjoyable.

Staff was friendly and helpful, kind with their words, and smiling. They were very busy, so we did have to wait, although that is to be expected. They kept us posted on progress, and we only waited a few minutes after the nurse pulled us back and got basic info before we saw a doc. She tested for flu, which took about 10 mins, said it was negative, then wanted to test for strep to make sure. I was very pleased with their thoroughness!

Fast friendly service. I literally had no voice and my ears were hurting so bad I could barely hear but they were patient with me. Staff is very professional and doctor was nice and helpful. Got a shot and antibiotics and going home to get better. I highly recommend them.

Didn’t have to wait and wonder like at a ER. They were all super nice, very happy that I chose to go there than a ER. I’m sure my insurance is too! I will definitely recommend Dr. J to anyone.

The BEST care anywhere! The online check in was very easy to use. Jamie made the check in easy and quick! Abbey was so great with my dad. She explained what she was doing and why. We saw Jody Manuel. He listened to my dad and answed every question. He took as much time as needed - didn't feel rushed at all! Jody took great care of my dad. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that my dad had a positive experience. I highly recommend this clinic!

I was heard for my reason of visiting. If that first sentence means nothing to you then you're at a loss. Working in healthcare myself, I've seen professionals not give you a second to talk about how YOU feel. I don't like getting sick, but if I ever am again, I'm going to Dr. J Express Care.
