Dr. Michael Y. Chang, DO reviews
6I chose this Dr because of the 4.8 star review while searching for a family Dr. It turned out I made the wrong choice. I have been trying to call all this week, left so many voicemails, through the scheduling line referral and the nurse with no replies or calling back. I had bad rash on my face and under my eyes towhere I was feeling the itch on my eyelids as well, I had a swallen face and eye and still no one cared to rush or send a referral to my dermatologist. I had to treat myself for the past week with antihistamine, since I have been waiting for over two weeks now. Note, this allergy issue started first week of January, visited Dr Wang January 5th and since then I have not been able to get a referral sent or the issue resolved. ️
This review is solely for office response. In a span of one month, I have made 4 phone calls (weekly) inquiring to get an appointment with Dr. Wang as our PCP. Each time, I got the answering machine, which I left voicemail asking the office to call me back. Never got a phone call from them. I was hoping to enroll my mom, whom only speak Chinese with this office; so she can communicate her concerns in her own language. However, after 4 phone calls from me and no call back from them, I have to give up and find some other doctors. I am concerned that even should we become a patient there, the same lack of response will cause some serious anxieties of not able to reach our doctor.
Has been my Doctor for many years!
I travel from Lakehills Texas (Bandera County) every 6 months for my check up.
Hands down best Doctor Ever!
VERY PROFESSIONAL!
Dr. Chang is very thorough. However, dealing with his staff is a very unpleasant experience. Communicating with staff at a doctors office is part of the OVERALL experience, I would not recommend this practice. Getting information or needing a referral is an unpleasant experience. Sarah did not contact me after I called this practice with Cardiologists
given by my insurance, instead she chose one and placed it in my portal. After finding it in my portal, I called the referred doctor only to find they do not accept my insurance any longer. I've called Dr. Chang's office back regarding the referral in my portal and was treated rudely. An otherwise simple process turned overly complicated. The staff at this office needs to get on the same team, it appears there are some real problems and the PATIENT takes the BLAME. I collapsed 12 days ago, I'm needing a referral to a Cardiologist, from Dr. Chang per my insurance. As of now, I still do not have an appointment. The staff does not care. I will not return to this practice. Same yourself the frustration go someplace else.
Bad service and impolite receptionist. I called in today to know about the test result for my mom. Lola gives a very impolite talking. We just asked when and how we can receive the result, she repond with yelling on the phone. She did not even want to listen to the questions. Do you expect patient to come to you when you run business like this?
