Dr Joshi and her staff are understanding and compassionate. I as well received a call that they no longer take my insurance. You can't just get an appointment as a new patient before 3 to 4 months around here so, out of medicine now! I do not understand since my insurance is not an HMO and I can choose to go where ever I choose. If not in network, I just pat 20% of the bill. Sounds like they overbooked patient load and culling out.

She has gone above what I had expected for a doctor. She reached out to me after she received information that I was in the hospital. She wanted to be sure I got all my discharge information and was explained to about all my labs and tests. Because of her I made an appointment to see a doctor right away and will be having surgery in the morning. Had she not followed up on this I would be in continuous pain till I wound up with a bigger issue and back at the ER. My biggest thanks to Dr. Joshi.

I was referred to Dr. Joshi a few years back. She was by far the best doctor that I have ever seen. Very thorough and understanding. I told everyone how great of a physician she was. Once Covid hit, I was unable to continue seeing her, along with a lot of my other specialists. I have been trying to get back in to see her for 2 years. I received a call from the office staff immediately this morning after sending a message that it was urgent that I see her. I was told that she wouldn’t take me back as a patient due to me having an HMO plan. I was in tears and was told to go to a minor care. My PCP is more than willing to do an insurance referral immediately to see her. At one time I would rate this office with 10 stars. Now, I’m so unhappy that they are only getting one star.

My 70 year old mother started seeing dr Joshi a little over 3 years ago for severe pain and the dr diagnosed her with Rheumatoid arthritis, she put her on several medications and my Luther told her repeatedly that it wasn’t helping, she put her on infusions that cost close to $50k per treatment. My mother also told her this wasn’t helping. This continued for 3 years during this time Dr Joshi would put off my moms appts one time for 9 months. On top of this, she was extremely rude. When my mom changed to a different dr he immediately tested and diagnosed her with Osteoarthritis and said she had not one marker for Rhuematoid arthritis. It took some time to get her off all the mess Joshi put her on. She had been in so much pain for the last 3 years she couldn’t even turn a doorknob anymore. Now she has hardly any pain and has a dr who actually does his job. Medicare is now looking into the $600k Joshi fraudulently charged. I will also be filing a complaint with the medical board.

So far she been great and very thorough. I like the way she explain everything to me in a way I understand. I would like to thank Dr Peter Nelson for referring me to her. I also like to thank you Dr Andrew Quinn for your diagnosis. I am very grateful to you all

After making this post, my mother and I both received a phone call from Dr. Joshi. She explained that she had, in fact already refilled, and the pharmacy should have contacted my mom. I appreciate very much the help in understanding.

I have waited 6 months for an appointment with this doctor and today 5 days before my appointment they call and inform me they do not take Blue Cross Blue Shield health select from Lamar University. Not impressed with this doctor

Was referred to this doctor by my primary care doctor and after waiting months to get in, just get a call from my primary care doctor office that they refused my “Referral”due to the negative lab results. Really?

Have not seen Dr Joshi yet, but having trouble getting and keeping an appointment. Office has cancelled set for August. I called and was told I was out of network. I called insurance and also checked internet. Recalled office on Friday and gave staff info. Was told they'd call me back. No one called. On Monday I took the insurance card and printed information showing that the doctor was in network. This still had to be verified. I was told " we'll give you a call". Thank God they did and rescheduled me for September. STILL WAITING.

I did not like the fact that I was asked to put up a 200.00 deposit to secure an appointment. I understand a deposit and would have been happy to put up my co-pay but 200.00 is ridiculous. I will choose to see another doctor because of these practices. Ms. Theresa Cooper I read your response and that you now say its $100 I find it funny that since I posted this you say different. When I called the office I was told the $200 was the Dr.s policy it was never referred as a new patient deposit. No thank you I have asked to referred elsewhere.

Very thorough in diagnostics but rattles off part of the results and doesn't address the rest of the results unless asked more than once; if she isn't asked, she simply won't address it. Her receptionist is incompetent, rude, and extremely unhelpful.
