Dr. Robert Codey Bell - KidMed Pediatrics, Beaumont TX

So I just called the office today 02-12-24 to inform them I brought my daughter to the ER Thursday and Sunday. I was told by the doctor at the ER to follow up with her pediatrician. So I did exactly any and called. The lady who answered ask what viruses was she diagnosed with? I told her what her diagnosis was and then she proceeded to say well legally their suppose to tell you to follow up with the pediatrician but with this virus it has to run its course. Which I UNDERSTAND but wouldn’t you still want your child to be checked by THEIR pediatrician personally? If the parent still wants their child to be checked then it shouldn’t be a problem! Anyways I’m upset about this.

We love Dr. Bell, been with him since the birth of my son, he’s 7 now. Sometimes the wait is long but other than that we can usually get in on the same day if my son is sick and needs to be see.

I don’t think someone should sit on hold for 15 mins at 9 o’clock in the morning. Just wow literally hung up to call back and put on hold for another 15 plus minutes. “Kid Ned can you please hold” shouldnt be holding that damn long! “How long will the wait be? ” “We are trying to get to you mamm” kidding me. Almost an hour. HORRIBLE!

LOVE Dr. Bell! He’s amazing & all 3 of my kids see him! We’ve only been patients for a few years, but we will be patients for life! Wish we could see him more instead of his NP’s (nothing against them, they’re great!) we just prefer to see Dr. Bell. Very patient, understanding & they explain everything very thorough. Looking at the low star reviews, yes the wait can sometimes be very long, & the waiting rooms are quite small, but no different than any other pediatrician we’ve ever seen if you’re looking for a great pediatrician, look no further than Dr. Bell!

Been seeing Dr. Bell for 9 years and he's fantastic! His NP is helpful with telemed checkups and very nice.

Recommended to any and all! (Big or small)

I absolutely love this office. Dr. Bell and Kristin are great. The nurses and the ladies in the office are always so sweet. The contrast between the doctor I saw as a kid and the doctor my son sees is clear. Im very thankful for this office.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this review. My son has seen Dr. Bell since he was born and when I was told my son was discharged without my knowledge, I was unequivocally heartbroken. When my sick son looked at me and asked, “why are we leaving, I thought you said they were going to take care of me, ” it tortured me to inform him that he was no longer a patient with the doctor we thought he’d see throughout childhood.

This is not a review bashing Dr. Bell but this is a review from the perspective of a caring parent who was mistreated without wrongdoing by this office.

I started working in Orange and it was difficult to bring my son to Beaumont for his appointments. I was told Dr. Bell had a NP under his umbrella in Orange who could see my son without interference with Dr. Bell being his doctor. I was ecstatic and jumped at having this option. Unfortunately, I was informed wrong so when I tried to get my son seen by Dr. Bell, I was told he had been discharged as a patient. I ask the office person why wasn’t I informed because I would have done everything for him to remain a patient of Dr. Bell’s. I wasn’t given an answer. I asked if he could come back because it was never my intention to leave. I was told no as it’s their policy. I was trying everything to get my sick child seen only to rudely and obnoxiously be turned away without a care in the world that my child was there and sick.

We love it here and the staff is so friendly. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the rooms are often dusty and the floors don’t seem to be swept daily. There’s also a really long wait sometimes before getting a room.

We have used dr bell for almost 4 years now and i wouldn't trust anyone else with my kid.the whole office is amazing, they're so sweet and they can typically get us scheduled the same day.my kid loves all of them.his nurse practitioner is equally amazing.i can't recommend them enough.
