This physician stands out among the many primary care physicians I've encountered. What makes him exceptional is his approach to patient care; he engages in discussions about health concerns on a personal level, offering advice as a friend would. While I've noticed some negative reviews, it seems these are from individuals who disagree with his cautious stance on prescribing anxiety medications. I believe that when a doctor explores alternatives to medication, it's a sign of genuine concern for a patient's well-being. I think these people are upset because they couldn't get the piece of paper for anxiety medication which is hard to get without doc authorization.

I have been a patient of Dr. Overn’s for two decades, and I can't express how grateful I am for the exceptional care I've received. He is not just a doctor; he is a true healthcare partner. Worst dr experience - do NOT send your loved ones here. My mom visited after a hospital stay to get medications filled. He asked her why she needed anti anxiety medication. She said because she’s a recent widow, recent hip surgery recovery, among just life itself. He told her that he has experienced several deaths in his family and has never needed medication to get him through it. I don’t know how he can still be practicing medicine. Asking for mental health help is difficult and people like him just make it worse. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before sending her to this horrendous place they say they practice medicine at. It’s a disgrace.

This is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. I had a prescription from a specialist waiting for me at the pharmacy and this man actually called and canceled it. He can’t even write the prescription, but he called and canceled it from another doctor. He doesn’t listen to one word you say and my previous PCP wrote all up my prescriptions yet this doctor wanted to refer me to five different specialist, so not sure what he actually does? Hands-down one of the worst experiences I’ve had in medical.

I came in with side pain and told him I have IBS and wasn’t sure if it was a symptom of that. He concluded it was IBS and concluded my anxiety was contributing to it so gave me mental health resources. The pain never went away. I went to someone else and learned I have a major issue with my kidney. I just didn’t feel heard, was made to feel silly, and kind of felt like he glossed over everything…. I was then hit with a huge bill. Waste of my time and money.
