Dragons Lair! What a wonderful comic, card, and game store. There's a lot offered here.

There's a wonderful selection of board games, an extensive offering of manga and a great amount of new comics. They sell TCG cards and accessories, DnD books and accessories, as well as miniatures (GW, Star Wars, Dnd, +more) and paints. They have action figures, statues, and Funko Pops as well. You a dice goblin? THEY HAVE DICES.

They also have a decently sized gaming area attached to the store that's full of tables and chairs in which people are free to come in and play in any of the aforementioned franchises. They have regular events and tournaments for these as well. Schedules are on their website and on their Facebook. Typically, unless their game room is slammed for a special event, and sometimes even then, it's easy to come and find an open table to play a game, and meet new friends therein.

Sometimes they might be sold out of the item you're looking for, but really that's a blessing in disguise for a local store by virtue of them having regular customers to buy things! It's super important to support your local game store and stick it to the online retailers and big box stores. Supporting safe space gaming environments as found in Dragons Lair is vital to the local community.

The staff here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and the shop is very clean. My kids and I usually find what we want: DC comics for my son, and TMNT and art comics for my daughter. Only once were they sold out of a book that we wanted.

This place has an amazing selection. It's my go to for magic and comics. The place is pretty big but well organized. The people who work here are friendly and always willing to help if you can't find what you are looking for.

The place is nice and the ambience is great, their selection of DC and Marvel comics is kinda small. Customer service is okay, one employee did his best to help the other one simply said "if you don't see it we don't have it" but they didn't even know what I was looking for. Ill probably be going to another location.

Alamo Ranch Dragon’s Lair is my gaming home. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The gaming area is spacious, clean, and family friendly. Their selection of games and collectibles are extensive. But Rose is by far the gem of any visit. She always greets us with a smile and is extremely knowledgeable about the hobbies the store provides.

Dragons Lair is your west side gaming location! Need comics, they have them. Need board games, they have them. Battle tech, yep. Warhammer, yep. D&D, of course they do. Paints, ya that too. Looking for some place to play, check out their gaming room and all the tables. They have it all and if not ask Rosa & crew, they'll hook you up!

My daughter loves this store. A huge assortment of board, card, roleplaying, and miniatures, graphic novels, manga, plush animals, and action figures. They even had a room for folks to play. (And who can pass up the chance to pet the store cat)

Sorry for the late detail, but I was on the road when I left the rating. Dragon's Lair is the best game store in San Antonio by far. Huge selection, tables for gaming and friendly staff. Every time I show up the store is bigger and better.

Great place to find comic books and board games. Also one can find a great selection of accessories for board games as well. Can also pre order comics here too. Mark is the best. Ask for Mark if you need help. I highly recommend this place 100 stars from me.

The store is hit or miss. Either they have exactly what you’re looking for or the shelves are empty. I didn’t catch the name of the employee but he was really pushy trying to get me to buy all these extra card accessories when I just wanted one deck box. They get bonus points for having a cute cat that “helps” around the store!

I just want to say as a trans female I get nervous visiting new places like this. I loved the atmosphere the second I walked in it, abeit not finding what I was looking for. Loved feeling comfortable and it meant so much to me

If you're looking for a place that has great comics and new games you can try out with your friends this is the place for you.

They also have a great selection of kickstarter games which is a great addition to any games store.

Dragon’s Lair is awesome. My boys (6 and 10) wanted to get into Pokémon and Dragonball Z cards, so we came with questions. AJ answered all our questions and helped us all know where to start collecting. We even got a great recommendation on My Hero Academia. Super knowledgeable and passionate about comics, cards and all things “nerdy”.

Nice shop and friendly staff, but I would like them to consider signs to let those with cat allergies know that there are shop cats at the establishment. I am one who is allergic, so it worried me the rest of my time there.

Was very disappointed when they pulled back covers from my subscription when I ask before hand if it would be a problem that I choose from all the covers and the manager said it was ok that it wouldn’t be a problem. Today I was told that I was no able to do so and I missed 2 covers I really wanted. I canceled all my subscriptions there took my money elsewhere. Lost a customer. I suggest next time be clear with the buyer.

I spoke to the manager about the pulls for my subscriptions and she said it wouldn't of been a problem if I was able to choose from the bunch. I read what it said that's why I asked twice if it was ok. I got the ok and yet they stopped pulling covers. You should of said something earlier about it or call me about it email something saying you would stop pulling all covers that way I would of said something about pulling certain covers for me.
I already went to alienworlds they're way better at communicating with their customers.

Great place. Great staff. I come here twice a week. Great place to get a comic subscription box. You can speak with any employee and they all know what they are talking about.

They have dice, magic and pokemon as well.

There is a small selection of back issue comics.

My go to spot in the San Antonio area for collectibles, staff extremely knowledgeable on almost every genre you can think of. Great prices, daily deals, collectible trading available. Weekly raffles added. Wish list should you see something in the future coming out where they inform you when it is in and will save it for you. I can't imagine spending my money at another location. Will continue to shop for my collectibles at this location.

I have to say the Rose the owner is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She tries her hardest to meet the needs of her customers and her staff has always shown to go the extra mile for me and appears others. Her store is very well kept and they handle the books with care.
As a collector for many years handling of the books has always been my benchmark between a good bookstore and an a great one. Roses store surpasses a great one. Pay a visit you won’t be sorry
