Dust Bowl Bar and Grill reviews
16It is in a bowling alley with an open, casual seating area (with a large TV) and great food
Maybe it was the great food (the Reuben is heavenly). Maybe it was the service- the waitress was phenomenal. Or maybe it was the atmosphere, because the people I was with are some of the best to ever walk this Earth. Anyway you put it, 10/10 will absolutely be back!
We had our parents 50th Anniversary surprise the wait staff the food the atmosphere was just all great and of course I definitely recommend it
Best Damned Burger in the Panhandle. People are as authentic and nice as can be. I stop every chance I get.
Good food, good service, delicious burgers, good bread, very good size of the burger, the meat needs more seasonings, in general very good, the wings very delicious. I ate and enjoyed a lot.
I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years and it is always dependable. The food will be good, the restrooms and the restaurant will be clean. Has a small town feel, everyone knows everyone in the place.
Food is not the best, not much variety and very pricey, small place and not games for the kids
Spending half your time in an over priced bowling alley waiting for lanes to be serviced was kinda lame. At least once a frame with 5 people we had to wait on a high school kid to try to fix issues, scores were irrelevant because it would randomly assign strikes and spares. Lane beside us was having the same issues as well. Food side was good but nothing could make up for the bad bowling experience, I wasn't even the one that paid and I still feel ripped off.
You can say we're regulars here! Always great staff and great food! If you're in Dalhart this needs to be a stop! Plus their greenbeans are the best!
This food was really good and had lots of fun playing games. If you have a chance check them out!
What a great place to stop and entertain the kids on our way to Red River! Kids were delighted to have a place to run around and play! Everyone loved the virtual reality machine!
Highly recommend, we were passing through on a road trip from East TN, service was great, I ask for food recommendations from our waitress and ordered the green chili ham and cheese with onion rings, it was one of the best sandwiches I've had, my hubby ordered a burger with fries and it was great as well. Prob won't be back in this area but if we are we will def go there again!
For the title to be "Dust Bowl" & (as a person that loves to bowl) you would think the pricing would be more bowler friendly especially in a small town as well as it being during the week lol. (Common sense ain't too common these days I played myself on that one) I was kind of excited to be passing through town and maybe get a game or two in (which I do often), But unfortunately @ almost $30 & after asking the 4th employee I finally got the pricing details. Looks clean on the inside none the less
The best chicken fried steak I've ever eaten! And I am a CFS connoisseur. The crust was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of crunch and the meat was so tender it almost melted in your mouth. The green beans & onion rings were also very good.
We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was at the Dust Bowl Bar and Grill. Arcades and bowling alleys are not known for their food. From the chicken fried steak to the salmon salad this restaurant is a 5 star place.
We stopped overnight in Dalhart, Tx on our way home to Abilene, Tx from Colo Springs last night. My grandson picked The Dust Bowl for dinner, Monday, 8pm. I had a generous portion of chicken fried steak/gravy, green beans and onion rings. The chicken fried steak was hands down the VERY BEST I have ever eaten! It was sooo tender and the crust was light and crunchy and a large portion. The green beans were seasoned very well and the onion rings were fresh and crunchy! Wow! This is a five star place! And a great variety of ice cream to top it off! The manager came and visited with us at our table. All I can say is: “Please build a Dust Bowl in Abilene! It would be packed every night! ”
