This is my second complaint in regard to this company. My flooring was laid in May of this year. At that time, I brought to the attention of the ETF installer the squishing sound I heard when walking on my master bedroom floor. The installer admitted it was caused by my slab being un-level and it would settle down over time.

By August the sound had not gone away and has only gotten worse with popping and cracking noises all over my house.

Because I did not get a positive response from the Owner with my first issue with this company, I decided to call in another flooring company to assess the problem and they stated:

A self leveling product should have been used before laying LVP. They stated most slabs are unlevel so they always used a self leveling product first. If you don't you will have a poor outcome as what happened with my floor. ETF did not use this product. Had they offered it I would have more than gladly paid the additional cost. They only used the thin brown vapor barrier.

Also, the assessing company removed the shoe molding around the edges and discovered hardly any space was left between the floor and baseboard if any at all. They stated a 1/4" space should be left wherever the flooring meets a vertical wall for expansion. My flooring is very thick and there is no way it's sliding under the baseboard. (See pictures) The 1/4" should be left between the flooring and baseboard.

They said the reason the noise is worse in the afternoon is because as it warms up, the flooring expands and has no where to go causing more noise. So between the unlevel slab and no expansion room for the planks, its a mess and will be costly to repair.

Also, I have these bumps all over where the planks don't lay evenly (see pictures). They said it was caused by the same problems.

Before writing this review I checked with a third flooring company just to be sure and they stated that they too always used a self leveling product under any LVP flooring. And my flooring would be costly to repair.

I love the look of my floors but love can quickly turn to despair when you can't walk over your flooring without the squishing, popping and crackling. It's a constant reminder that I should have gone with a different company.

No, I can not recommend Doma LVP or East Texas Flooring.

Absolutely top-notch customer service. Couldn't be a better experience working with East Texas Floors. Not only the customer service, they have the best selection of flooring options in the area. Would highly recommend!

5 stars for Daniel and his entire team!
We recently had new carpet installed into our 4 bedrooms and are super happy with the results.
We started searching for carpet months ago and were determined not to use a big box store with poor customer service. We used LL Flooring for our wood floors 2 years ago and would NOT recommend due to very poor installation…. But the first time I went into East Texas Floors I knew these were the people we should deal with. We received fantastic customer service from beginning to end. I was very particular and wanted CRI Green Label Plus certified carpet (low VOCs/non-toxic) and Daniel was very accommodating and made sure we got what we wanted. To those interested in non-toxic options, they have ALOT of carpet and pad options that do have that certification. Daniel showed excellent communication throughout the process and their floor sales employees were very patient and helpful. Installers were super hard workers and very efficient. We will definitely recommend East Texas Floors to our family and friends!

We had a great experience with East Texas Floors. Actually didn’t buy our flooring from them but wish we could have because they were very professional, helpful, patient and competitive.
