Staff was very friendly and helpful. At least four employees asked if they could help me, or if I was finding everything I needed. I wasn't even in the store 30 minutes. I don't give five stars for anyone. If the pricing was a little better, this would get my very best rating. I still give it a 4.5. The highest I have ever rated.

Best hardware store around! These folks have customer service mastered. Honest, fair prices, and great selection. I shop here regularly.

Loved the clean, homey atmosphere. Attentive to needs of customers when looking for items. Cashier not very friendly. That was the only disappointing experience with this store. (Probably just caught her on an off day)

They must be avid deer hunters, because they have a complete service line for bow and arrow enthusiasts.
Great place to just stop-in an visit!
Or find that "gotta have it NOW" tool, part, advice, know how, = perhaps empathy? !

I've been to this store many times. The staff is especially helpful and we are able to get what we need quickly. In addition to the normal things you would expect to find at a hardware they also stock unique home decor and outdoor furniture.

I work here. Its the BEST place to work. And we have such a great relationship with our customers. We are a family owned business. And we stand out above big box stores. Please shop local.

Great service, usually. I wanted to update this review since the last one was too short.
If you want good - personal service and a decent selection - check them out. Nearly all the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
In fact one young lady (I wish I remembered her name) asked what I was looking for when I told her it was not on the shelf but maybe in one of the totes in the back. She asked where it would be on the shelf, wrote down the item number, when to the back, found it in the tote and brought it to me. (All this after another employee just "blew me off. ") Like I said, usually great service and when I get the young lady's name, I will update this and let the manager know! She is a keeper!
I will continue to shop at East Texas Hardware, I believe in supporting small/locally owned businesses.

The man that helped me was awesome but the lady i asked before him.well she was rude. If you dont like your job get another one.

I keep reading about their great customer service. It's pushing 2 weeks now, and I'm still waiting to see it.
I finally found the Case knife in the color I wanted on their website. It said it was in stock, so I ordered it. I'll give them credit, the shipping was very fast, unfortunately, they sent the wrong knife. I've contacted them several times now. I sent pics of what I received, and the the invoice as proof. I have not gotten a single response from them. It now says the knife is out of stock on the website. I'm beginning to think they didn't have it in stock when I ordered, and they just tried to substitute a different color, hoping I wouldn't say anything, and now they're ignoring me. Yeah, Outstanding customer service!

They're well stocked for the most part, but they always seem to not have the things that I look for. I went there to buy a 5 x 7 foot tarp but theres no more stock of it. Inside, there were a selection of sizes to choose, including 10 x 20 and smaller. The prices were a bit higher than the other store that I go to but I didn’t have to search for help like you do there.

Very helpful, had a shower faucet problem, the gentleman showed me how to rebuild it. 5 gold stars!

Small town hardware store. They have a little if everything and are ready to help you with just about anything, including loading up the truck with lumber.

I travel to kilgore for work, and when I need small tools or lumber, this is the first place I come to.

Super helpful staff that doesn't bug you if you don't need help. Items always exactly where you saw them previously. And the barn cats are friendly and cute!

Employees were friendly and helpful. Found what needed within a few minutes of being in the store.

I purchased some sheetrock and they loaded.their garbage that needed to be sold. For 1/2 OFF OF EACH SHEET. 0ut of the 5 purchased 1 was good. Never again.

Nice place. You have to record the UPC for screws and such for checkout which was kinda annoying, so keep that in mind.
