The entire staff did a great job with my miniature pinscher Noah who got bitten by a poisonous snake. They were calm and efficient.

If we could give 20 or more stars we would! We had a snakebite emergency with one of our dogs. After the emergency staff in Tyler turned us away, we were given directions to East Texas Pet Emergency Clinic where our dog was given thorough examination and treatment. He came through this ordeal with flying colors thanks to their excellent care. We HIGHLY recommend using their services anytime you have an emergency with one of your pets as they take the care of your pet seriously, professionally, and thoroughly. We are forever grateful for their loving attention to our pet!

Very pleased with every individual on staff. Their knowledge and compassion were abundantly obvious and made me feel relieved to be taking my 11 yr old dachshund Coco there in the middle of the night. Our regular vet was closed and the emergency vet in our area was closed due to an emergency so this was the closet emergency vet for us to try and it was well worth the hour drive. The whole staff were extremely attentive, kind, truly cared, and truly good at their jobs. I had many details and documents to provide the front desk, vet tech, and the doctor and they each communicated all of the information between each other flawlessly. I am so appreciative of the care received and the overall experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this clinic to any pet owner.

Dr. Bordelon took such good care of our Pepper girl and was so kind and compassionate in helping us weigh our options. Unfortunately, we had to let her pass peacefully, but I couldn't have asked for a better guide as we led our baby girl of 14 years to the Rainbow Bridge.
The vet tech was incredibly kind as well and sent us home with a paw print.

This is a wonderful, caring and compassionate clinic. My little dog was suffered a bad injury to his neck/spinal cord. After taking him to our regular clinic, where we were charged almost $400, my pup was still in agony, couldn’t eat or drink and had to be supported to walk. Doctor Peña at this clinic immediately saw he needed strong pain meds, of which he got NONE, at our regular clinic. He was also dehydrated. They kept him in the “hospital” for two days with IVs for hydration and administering pain meds; muscle relaxers; steroids and other meds. We got him home last night and he is eating and drinking and his pain level is much better. The other clinic said “he will either make it or he won’t” so I will never take another animal there. The prices are high, as are all emergency clinics, but the care my little boy received made it worth every penny. Every single person we had contact with was great; very compassionate; and obviously lives animals. A+ in my rating!

This was a horrible time in my life and this place helped me say goodbye to my Best Friend. Courtney B, if it wasn't for you my baby would still be suffering. You helped me in so many ways, I can't thank you enough for everything. If you have an emergency pet situation TAKE YOUR PET HERE! YOUR IN GREAT HANDS!

With it being a holiday weekend our local veterinarian was closed so I had to take our cat to East Texas for a hurt foot. Dr, Bordelon, the technicians and the receptionist were very professional and friendly. The price was very fair with this being an emergency.

I am so grateful to have been told about this place by a friend. We had an emergency with our 14 y/o little dog. They were so compassionate and kind. I felt as if they truly cared for my little dog. The vet told us our options and got a plan of care together with prices. I thought it was rather reasonable considering this is after hour care they provide when your normal vet is closed.
We left our little dog to be observed thru the night. They took great care of him. The next day they recommended to take him to his regular vet for a f/u. We did but unfortunately, we were back after hours again exactly a week later to make the hard decision to put him down. Again, we were treated so kindly by the staff and vet. I called ahead of time to tell them we were on our way. The staff member was so kind and got us checked in so there would be no time to wait when we arrived. They have a hard job seeing all the emergencies coming in on a daily basis. My husband and I are truly grateful for the care they provided in our saddest time! Thank you all so much!

A bit pricey but the ladies were extremely helpful kind and understanding. They had us in and out in less than an hour and we had expected to be there all night. Thank you guys our lil PeePie is doing much better, the wallet is the only thing sore at this point.

12/22 update. Staff is still amazing. I had to bring in my elderly cat to be put to sleep as she took a turn for the worse and I didn't feel it was fair to wait until Monday. When I called to see if this was something they would do (not an emergency) the woman on the phone was very sweet and I could hear the empathy in her voice. When I arrived everyone including the vet tech and vet were extremely caring and helpful. My baby was treated with dignity and love. This is the second time I've been here and both experiences were good.

Highly recommend them.

Very quick and efficient. Everyone was very sweet and wonderful with my Golden! If you dog is like mine and love to get into stuff after hours. ETPEC is the place to go!

I just wanted to thank the Veterinary staff for your kindness and care of our precious 16 1/2 year old Chihuahua Sophie last night. It was a very emotional time for my son and myself having to say goodbye to our wonderful companion of 15 years and your staff handled everything with understanding and thoroughness in explaining the details and helping us.

Amazingly sweet staff. They were ready for us as we came in. We were seen immediately and helped Hawk after he decided to eat ant poison.

This place is amazing, I cant sing enough praise for how amazing they are. As a single struggling parent, I was stressing about getting my female pit treated for a urinary tract infection. Not only were they great about not over charging me, they were patient and amazing with my baby. And very patient and calming for a very freaked out pet parent. 100%would bring any of my babies here!

My cat was very very sick. Because I told her my cat was not spending the night there she said I needed to put her to sleep.o told that I would take her to another vet. She told me she was going to give her some fluids and antibiotics. Well she didn't do that put on paper that I declined. Well that was a lie. When tech came in I asked her and she said vet told her I denied it. I told her my baby needed fluids and antibiotics so she did. There prices are unreal and the vet I had doesn't care all she wanted was the money was going to cost nearly$1000 for my baby to spend night there with no guarantee she be ok. Well I found a vet office close to home that with in 2 hours on IV had my girl purring and meowing at every one. My baby made a full recovery. If I had left her in Longview I don't think she would be alive. Was there from 11am till nearly 5 and they didn't do anything but lab work and ultrasound. Just glad I took her home and to a vet that really cares and isn't all about money. My baby had UTI. I do not recommend this place at all.

I honestly feel like ETPEC is good for some emergencies. However for our visit was not optimal. I will add our dog seems to be on the mend but we were not impressed with the amount of money we spent and the over all care he recieved. There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between the staff and I as well as the documentation on his chart. For instance he was inpatient due to vomiting and diarrhea and he was given a nebulizer with saline, I was never notified he was in any sort of respirator distress. I called multiple times daily during his stay and asked a ton of questions, and while a nebulizer isn't a super high concern of mine but just the lack of informing the pet parent makes me (& hopefully others that are reading the reviews) question their capabilities and their integrity. Some of the staff were great and eased my concerns but once I picked up our Chap I was appalled with his condition. Since the staff had concerns he had parvo (mind you he tested negative twice for the virus) they kept his Isolated (that charge is $150 EVERY 12HRS!) and since he was in isolation he was denied a bath or being able to potty outside so when I got him, they carried him out wrapped in a pee pad and he had feces all over his back end. He smelled terrible and they gave us extra pee pads to lay down, thank God we did because before we could get out of the parking lot he urinated for what seemed like a whole 2 minutes all over the back of my SUV.
They knew our limit on the care credit card and were literally $300 shy of maxing it out. I would not recommend this practice for over night care. Their lack of integrity and being charged almost $3200 and my dog being so filthy makes me sick. I feel so bad that I left my baby in their care.
