The service here is top notch. Everyone is very friendly and professional. The salon is super clean and has great energy. Easy to find. My appointment was with Celeste, I am very satified with her work. I got permrods, I love them. I will definitely book another service soon.

Waited a while to post about my experience with eclectivlc vibez wanted to make sure I was being fair. The salon vibe matches it's name. Space is clean and she plays good music but the seating is tragic. The sofa is cool if you want to lay down and uncomfortable if you like to sit up. I got the curly cut with no additional services. I would definitely let her do a wash and go or style with curlers but not a cut. I was left with extremely uneven sections of hair. I've had the Deva cut several times in my life and have never been left with hair that's uneven. Best experience about the visit was the shampoo girl. She's the best I've ever had.

I went here for a simple protein treatment and braid down on my natural hair. My stylist, Deshay, was very short on words when I would ask a question and I was wondering why. Once she finished my hair she told me the cost would be 130 and explained the braid down, which consist of 6 braids w/o added hair, was 75 and the protein treatment was 55. I was surprised because I’ve never paid that much for that service but I agreed to pay. As I was about to pay, Celeste starts saying it’s always something when I come there and I was shocked since she’s never even done my hair. She then brings up a time I was there and she refused to do my hair b/c I had made a mistake and combed my hair too hard and left a scab on my scalp, which I was disappointed about but didn’t make a big deal about. After she told me that I was just ready to leave and never go back. I then tried sending payment via Zelle to the stylist but she refused to give me her name to verify I was sending money to the right person so I left. I don’t have time to beg someone for their name. Celeste and her stylist follows me outside and proceeds to ASSAULT me by pushing me to stop me from leaving. Celeste is messy, unprofessional and talks about clients once they leave. She literally bashed her client after she walked out in front of everyone in the shop. Can’t keep stylist working for her long, it’s a new one there every time I go. Don’t go here it is over priced and she needs to seriously check her energy.

My experience at Eclectic Vibez was a very pleasant one. I went for a CurlyCut with a specific shape/style in mind. I waited maybe 15 minutes for the assistant to start my appt with a shampoo cleansing. Bri, the assistant, was very gentle with my hair, the finger detangling didn't cause any pain (it hurts when I do it lol). Celeste was very communicative, asking what type of cut I wanted and letting me know what she was going to do before doing it, and checking in with me as she styled. Curl defining came before the cut and my curls were more defined than ever! My appt took about 3 hours total, however, there was never a time that I sat around waiting for too long. At the longest, I probably sat for 20 mins once I was done under the dryer as she was setting another client's hair. Also, the playlist was awesome (I love 90's r&b). I hadn't been to a professional salon since going natural, a little over 10 years, so I was hesitant about returning. I'm so happy to report that I had a great experience, loved my results and I will be returning! I'd recommend giving this salon a try!

Celeste is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about hair. Her assistant is such a sweetheart.

ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING OWNER "CELESTE", was incredibly condescending/rude to me when I simply came in to ask Quanny (who was very sweet and a stylist there) about what type of services/styles could be done on my hair. Celeste (who walked in in the middle of the conversation) sneered and barked "ARE YOU GIVING A CONSULTATION!? ! ", eluding that I was trying to get a free consultation about my hair type or products when I was trying to just see what kind of hair style appointment I wanted to book in the first place. (It sounded like some form of violent reprimand to the sweet stylist too, who shut off after that remark). With that said, I am professional, and had no issue paying for services, but she acted like someone was trying to get over on her. I was never anything less than kind to her and she was trashy, classless and incredibly unprofessional. If you are sensitive to "vibes", this is ESPECIALLY not the place for you, because hers are toxic, entitled and selfish. This is how an establishment loses business and so long as this business continues to run this way there is no way they will be successful. Run away ladies and take your natural hair care needs ELSEWHERE, I sure as heck am. I NEVER write negative reviews but after this encounter I absolutely MUST warn others! BEWARE. ‍️

So the staff are beautiful and smart. They talk about real situations. They are great at multitasking and understand the dire needs of an individual situation.they are courteous and understanding. They give you multiple ways to pay. They even remind you of poetic justice (poetic justice) even if I never came back It is a fact I would trust it.

Definitely will be back! My stylist Quani (hope I spelled it right) was so informative and educated me when it came to my natural hair. Very professional establishment and love the chill and relaxed vibe.
I'd gotten a blowout and trim service.

She has a lot of interns. The service has really got bad. Shame cause I live 1 minute walk away. But I won’t ever go back.

This was my first time here. I loved my hair. It was so soft and had so much body. Will definitely be back.

I found Celeste about year ago on social media. I followed her for a while to get a feel of what she does. I knew I wanted her hands to touch my hair. I was afraid at first, but I told myself: “your hair can’t get any worse than what it already is so just do it. ” Let me tell you that “follow” does not equate to what she does in person — unmatched words and talent. I (my husband and son too) drove about a 4hr drive to her. I was nervous, but was greeted immediately with her warm smile and the minute she assessed my hair and said: “I got you. ” I knew I was in good hands. She is so full of knowledge and beauty. There is a “no service with kids” but she was nice about meeting my little family (quick hi/bye/thank you) when they came to pick me up. It was a wonderful experience and I received so many compliments on my hair. I was there for the curly cut, but I gave her permission to do whatever to it.

I have only worn my natural hair for approximately 6 weeks. As a Natural Newbie Eclectic Vibez was a breathe of fresh air. The salon was organized and professional. I did not have to wait! Brooke was my stylist and she listened to my concerns and answered my natural newbie questions. I will return for a second appointment. Thank you Brooke, see you soon.

This comment is about the systlist (Celeste) alone and not the Electic Vibez shop. I went to Celeste a few years ago when she had a room at Blue Lion studios (no way to leave a review back then). I had never had my hair blownout prior to her services. During the flat ironing process, she repeatedly got too close to my scalp even after I told her that it was burning me. The result of the blowout turnout beautifully and lasted a month but as a result of her getting to close to my scalp with the flat iron I had 2 medium bald spots in the center of my head from the burns. Years later I still have the blad spots and burns marks on my scalp. I’ve been to a stylist after her and she even pointed out the burns on my scalp. I really hate to leave this review because Celeste is so sweet and talented but I’d hate to see this happen to anyone else. I now have perment damage to my scalp as a result of her services. Hopefully she has gotten better as this was a while ago. However, I will never return.

If I could give ZERO I would. No customer service at all!
Prior to my last visit I had been to the salon twice for myself and twice for my daughter to have her hair braided. The 2 times I had services were good, I had no complaints. The 2 times I took my daughter, the first time was good whereas the 2nd time the stylist (no longer there) took way too long to do my toddler daughter's hair (braids) and then proceeded to ask the owner how much she should charge because she took all damn day. That time I paid $90 for my 3 year old to have her hair washed, blown out and braided. Needless to say I never gave her anymore of my business.however I liked the shop and had no issue with the owner Celeste. She had done my hair twice before and I was satisfied. I saw on her IG previously where she had straightened a 5 year old's hair as well so I decided I would let her hands grace my baby's crown when she turned 5. I made my appointment on 11/15/17 for 1PM/1: 15PM for 12/21/17 which happened to be my baby's 5th birthday. I called twice and left messages and also messaged Celeste on IG prior to the visit inquiring if we should come in for a consult before the appointment. She replied back on IG stating we would just consult right before services began. I said ok. On the day of the appointment I called the salon and spoke with Celeste directly asking if she took cards or should I still bring cash as her profile now states; because I received a message from styleseat about charging my card. I spoke with her about 30/40 minutes prior to my appointment and she advised bring cash then also confirmed the time that I was bringing my 5 year old daughter. She hesitated then said yes ok come on. I picked my child up from school and arrived early for my consult and appointment. I knew when I walked in it was a problem. She had one woman in the chair detangling and then I inquired and found one woman was under the dryer. There was also a young lady waiting to have her hair cut but we were supposedly before her.a little after 1: 30 she comes to get us to wash my baby's hair. By now I am not happy and my daughter's father is pissed as well because we both see the bs coming. So while at the bowl I ask will she be done by 3 because my baby has a party to get to. Celeste gives some excuse about it depends on the child and sometimes it takes longer if they move around blah blah blah. What she thought was that she was going to wash my baby's hair then leave conditioner on it while we sat and watched her do everybody else's hair. LIES! This isn't my first trip to a salon that purposefully overbooks because they know folks will wait because they have no choice. What she didn't realize is just like I CHOSE her I could CHOOSE another. So at 2: 30, yes a whole hour later as I watched her put one lady under the dryer, cut another's hair and then tell the other lady to get in her chair I asked her to wash the conditioner out so we can go. She looked like she wanted to say something but didn't, I was ready! She then feigned concern and looked to see if we could maybe come back another day. I said first thing the next morning and she said she was booked up. At that Moment I was DONE! She washed the conditioner out and towel dried my baby's hair. I already had a contingency plan so the wash helped anyway. But do you know she looked me dead in my face and said $45 dollars. For a wash and conditioner of a 5 year old's hair. It was then I realized she was about the money only. There are ways you ensure good customer service and to charge $45 for that was not it. I was prepared to give her $25 but I said, you know what if this lesson only cost me $45 and not $100 something then so be it. I will NEVER give my business to Eclectic Vibez again and I told everyone I knew that I previously had recommended there to NOT go. I told them about this and they were just as appalled. This could have all been avoided simply when I called prior to the visit had she said, I am little backed up can you come later so your daughter wont be waiting.

I was kind of excited to come here. My sister booked me an appointment, or at least that's what she thought. I really liked the atmosphere, well thought out decor that meshes well with the vibe of the shop. Only thing that I didn't like, and that I have never liked about salons, is the wait. I was there for 5 hours.another girl who had an appointment was there for about 3.5 hours. What I thought was an appointment at 2pm, was just a walk in at 2pm. Not really sure what the difference is there. Also, not really sure if this was a one time deal or not but that's why the 3 stars. Other than that, they seem to know there stuff with natural hair care. But again, I've only been there once. So maybe an update to my review will come.

Thought I would try the salon. I must say, the owner is not very friendly to new clients and stylists. I experienced her being so rude on 2 occasions. In addition, her prices are way too high. I think my stylist moved to a different salon. Thank goodness because I was not returning. I can recommend stylists with better attitudes and prices:)

I was also impressed by the marketing on Instagram and so I booked her for a wedding blowout and straightening. I first felt off because I had to wait about 45 min to an hour just to get started. Next was the washing technique. After 7 years of being natural, if my hair is washed out of sections, it's becomes a tangled mess, mind you my hair was stretched before I got there. Celeste applied a towel to my hair and I knew it was over but I stayed because I was running out of options. When she began to detangle my hair, she did use a wide tooth comb but was not gentle about it and asked me if I was "tender headed"? From my experience, one only becomes "tender headed" if the the one who is doing their hair is not gentle and doesn't take care to separate the knots that they have created. After the "detangling process" she proceeded to blow dry and I did notice wisps of hair flying around my face but I didn't think anything of it until I looked on the floor and noticed the bent over teeth of the blow dryer and realized that the pain I felt from being " tender headed" was actually hair that was being ripped from my scalp from a defunct blow dryer. I allowed her to complete the straightening process paid the price and never returned. The curls fell within a few hours and became very frizzy from all of the broken hairs. I don't recommend this stylist. This took place 9/2016. It took a while to post a review. I don't mean to slam her but only to give my honest experience.

I love Celeste, she is awesome and her knowledge about natural hair is amazing. It was hard finding a stylist with experience that i could trust when it comes to natural hair and but she made me feel comfortable as soon as i walked in, i'm definitely a permanent client of hers now!
