Eco Thrift reviews
15 Since eco thrift took over this store the prices are outrageous. These items are DONATED and then over priced. I wish I could rate it 0 stars if I could.
All the good 5 stat reviews are from the original DAV thrift store.
Honestly in my Opinion This Thrift Store is Awesome Because some of the clothing are 25 to 75% off wich is a good deal. And also Eco Thrift has good Clothing i defently give it a 5 star.
When Eco first opened, I really enjoyed it. My recent visit I was far more than impressed. The prices are so ridiculous, I forgot I was in a thrift store! $20 for a shirt, $15 for a used jacket, $19.99 for a night gown? !? Anything that is a small brand known is triple the price it should be. On top of everything being used, everything is DONATED. So the increase in prices recently is BEYOND RIDICULOUS! Do better ECO!
Miss the DAV. Used to love to go there, but not this store! This store is ridiculously expensive for donated items. Has to be the "color of the day" to be discounted, and other than clothes, everything is piled on shelves and hard to see. No longer carry furniture, and no great order to anything. I can buy stuff cheaper new at Wal-mart.
Note: Employees who have stayed are still kind and pleasant, do their best for customers.
UPDATE: Just like the local Goodwill, this store has gone downhill since being bought out by Eco Thrift. The clothing prices are still alright, but there's nothing to look at except clothing anymore. They stopped accepting furniture at all, and anything but clothing has been pushed to the back of the store and barely organized. All non-clothing sections have lost 50-60% of their previous totals to the clothing section. Sad to see thrift stores going this way now, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
All the negative reviews must be from people who wanna save all the good deals for themselves This is one of the best thrift stores in the area. They’re constantly having 25%, 50%, and 75% off deals, and I have been able to score many nice pieces in my wardrobe for under $2.
Used to be one of my many "go to" spots when it was DAV. Now, it's ridiculous how much they've raised the prices. This place is terrible. They ruined the charm and bargains of DAV and turned it into a wanna-be "vintage" store.
This “Eco store” is so ridiculous! They are overpricing every single item. I have supported so much to DAV in the past and this just because a profit organization. Please do not scan donors for making your profit! So disgraceful store! I can not believe that items cost even more than Ross or Walmart! Too bad
I do not recommend this store. Its cheaper to just go to goodwilldown the street. This used to be my absolute favorite spot to thrift at before it was bought out but the prices are completely out of touch for FREE used items. I won't be returning.
It's absolutely ridiculous. To charge retail prices and call yourself "Thrift" is absurd. This place is just as bad as Goodwill, if not worse.
Go back to California and bring back DAV's Thrift, who actually contributed back to the community.
Oh, and don't buy any electronic. They do not test anything but are quick to slap that retail price on it to take advantage of you! Hope they go out of business just as fast as their neighbor Dirt Cheap!
Eco Thrift has amazing merchandise vintage and non vintage. Very well organized! As well as a sweet sweet staff! The new manager Thomas is awesome! So kind, and personable! Definitely a new favorite on my list of thrift stores!
Would give no stars if possible. USED to be my favorite place to go! Prices have skyrocketed, even higher than the goodwill. $9.99 tank tops, $39.99 swim cover up, $4.99 for a used baby bib! I observed New management disrespecting multiple employees that have been working there for years.when I asked about the changes to the manger, I got awfully rude responses and basically telling me “if you can’t afford it don’t come”. When asked if they still donated to DV, I got no response. I will not be returning ever again and definitely do NOT recommend!
Prices have gone up since eco took over the store. They say it still supports the disabled veterans though. I used to buy shirts for $3 to $5 but now they are running $9 to $15. I was surprised, it now feels more like a goodwill store which I don't like at all.
I use to find decent deals here now it seems everytime I go in prices are getting higher they wanted 100$ for a play station one 50$ for a pair of boots that probably cost that brand new and 20$ for a cooking pan. Thrift means to save money these people aren't helping anyone save money. They're getting stuff for free and charging as much as they can for it
