EcoClean, Austin TX

We decided to try this place instead of our regular dry cleaners since it is closer. Took three dresses in to be cleaned. We were charged over $80! No wonder they wouldn’t offer a total before when I dropped the dresses off. We took photos and asked our previous cleaners how much it would have been there. Only $45. We will definitely be making the longer drive back to them instead of using this place. Ridiculous!

*I should have read the reviews on Yelp before using this place* I was really hoping not to have to leave this review. I liked what EcoClean was about and I liked the owner. I was hoping the owner/ manager would respond regarding the item they ruined, but 3 weeks after picking up the mattress cover that looks like a tiny carpet, I have yet to hear back, and yes I have called to figure out what's going on. I dropped off our king mattress cover and was very hesitant because it was wool. I asked the owner/ manager Jeff (?) if they can dry clean it. He reassured me they could. When it was ready, my husband picked it up and brought it home and right away I saw something was wrong by the way it looked in the plastic bag. It was wrinkly/ ruffled instead of smooth. I opened it to discover that what should be a king size mattress cover was a tiny square. I was shocked that they released this back to me. How could they possibly not know that they damaged it. They still charged us $60, said nothing and sent us home. This was 11/25/22. I called them and spoke to Jeff who arranged a pick up to review the item for the following Monday. No one ever came and when I called they said I wasn't even on their list. So I spoke with Jeff again and he arranged for pick up on 11/29/23. It's now 12/20/22. I called on 12/8 to ask what the status was since they had had it for over a week and Jeff said that he will contact me. It's been almost 2 weeks since then and nothing. Every time I call, I get transferred around, put on hold, hung up on so every time I do speak to Jeff, it takes a lot of tries and phone calls. Jeff and this business do not care about their customers nor the work that they do. Aside from the $60 I paid for the job, a new mattress cover will cost me $233. In this economy and personal situations, money is/ can be tight so I hope that this review helps someone else avoid such a financial loss.

Wonderful experience. Staff was friendly, the online portal is easy to navigate and sends helpful notifications of status. My wedding dress, veil, and a beaded formal gown were all cleaned to near-new condition. I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a reliable cleaning service for formal wear and will certainly be back for standard cleaning services in the future.

They really went the extra mile for me! I had forgotten about a tie that was very sentimental. After 6 months, I finally remembered that I had never picked it up from them. Their policy is not to keep anything around that long, but the manager still had it in her storage and found it right away! And even got a stain out that may have been more than 10 years old. Would highly recommend.
