EggHaus Gourmet reviews
20It was my first time trying this place & I have to say, I loved every minute here. The service was great, fast and everyone was super friendly. On top of that was the food! I ordered the Bacon and Egg sandwich, the Iced Matcha Latte, the Oreo croissant, and the Almond Croissant as well. Everything was so delicious! Will definitely be visiting more often!
I tried this place out for the first time, and it ok, the tacos were small to me, and lacking in flavor, their drip coffee had a metal after taste not fresh to me.
I always said if you have to add salsa to a taco to make it taste better, then something is not right
Horrible customer service. Paid 20$$ for two sandwiches to have the server ignore my food to tend to other dine in customers I had to go ask for my own food. Trash!
I actually came twice in one weekend — 3 years ago i had their drunken chicken kolache & haven’t stopped thinking about it since.they unfortunately were sold out both times i went!
egghaus offers a good variety and
interior is comfortable and welcoming! Love that there is extra seating at king’s bierhaus.although the croissants are gorgeous, taste wise they’re too sweet for me.the breakfast sandwiches are hearty, and have a lot of sauce towards the bottom. 5 starts for the food still because of the kolache i still dream about
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The bread was freshly made and had the perfect chewy consistency. The sausage was seasoned so well I wanted a second sandwich because of it.
We had the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches! DELICIOUS! I also tried the blueberry lemonade it was so so good and refreshing! Definitely coming back
Food is good and coffee too I ordered a capuccino and a toast with chorizo, restaurant has amazing vibe with a lot of plants looks so pretty, but don’t bother leave tip, you have to pick up your own food and take to the trash your dirty dishes when you finished…
I’ve been here numerous times!
Recently moved out of Houston and this was my last breakfast choice.
Sooo good.
This is my second time here and the first time I did not have a good experience with the service and the food sitting well afterwards. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and came back again and this time it was not any better. The service was subpar in regards to tables being clean, the water jug being filled, etc. Then the booth was ripped up and I was sitting on the cushion of the bench and it just felt very dirty. The food was just okay and I didn’t feel well after eating it again.
The best bacon egg and cheese in existence. I could eat one daily and never get tired of it
I love the breakfast sandwich! So delicious! The service was a bit slow though. The worker that took my order were still on their phone when I walked in.
This is an amazing breakfast/brunch place to grab delicious sandwiches, great coffee, and unique lemonades!
We ordered the Hangover Sandwich that had eggs, chicken, lettuce, tomato, queso fresco, cilantro and avocado ranch. The individual flavors were robust and delicious but we felt that they did not blend that well together as each flavor was pretty strong, making it a suitably named hangover cure. Additionally, we got the Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich that has mixed greens and chipotle aioli. While this was a more simple sandwich, it epitomized the perfect egg breakfast sandhwich as the flavors harmonize well and the chipotle aioli was delicious! The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was crunchy and savory, the chipotle aoli gave a little smoky, tangy, and creamy edge, and the mixed greens were a nice cool backdrop for all the flavors to combine. The buns were also buttery, toasty, fluffy, and firm enough to soak up and hold all the components. To complement the food, we got a vanilla latte. It was too milky and sweet for our taste. I suggest trying one of the lemonades instead!
Overall the vibe at Egghaus Gourmet is really cute and fun! There are a lot of people on the weekends, so I suggest going early to get a spot inside! However, there are always tables outside to sit if you arrive a bit late, and it is pet friendly. Please go check it out!
I love grabbing breakfast from here it’s always a great atmosphere and great customer service!
This was my first time here and I was so impressed. The BEAUTIFUL croissants and pastries- wow! The employees were very nice and accommodating. We had a bigger group so we found our way back to the other part of the restaurant where there was way more seating. I imagine it gets pretty busy in the evening - it looks like such a cool place. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in the area!
Best brunch place in the heights. The avocado toast w bacon is amazing! I always come here on my weekends for a repeat. Fast service & pretty environment:)
This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Houston from now on! The service is super friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy and modern - place feels new and decorated with taste of style. Perfect brunch Ambiente.
And the food won in all categories. Their filled croissants are known to be a specialty and they are worth it - not too sweet!
We had the peach one.
Tacos are delicious and (Mamita and El Hefe) and the sandwich is too notch - fresh brioche bun and ingredients.
Benchmark brunch visit for sure!
Super cute place, but the food was mehh at best for the price point. I spent $54.00 and I’m still trying to figure out how?
Breakfast potatoes- soggy/mushy
The scramble- egg’s & cheese only - average af, the bun was good but I didn’t come for the bun. Another vegetarian breakfast sandwich with veggies would have been great.
$8.50 for a small lemonade with pineapple pulp is wild. Get this if you like chewing your lemonade.
Coffee cake was dryer than lint, avoid at all cost.
La brea taco - could use a fresh component, basic and should be $3-$4 max
The chocolate croissant was the best thing I ordered, and I almost passed. It made this review a 3 instead if a 1 star. Still not worth the hefty price tag.
Definitely won’t be back.
Said their croissants were made in house. Really what they meant was their thawed pre-made croissants are dipped in house into chocolate that isn’t properly tempered.
This place is amazing! The selection is limited but it's both delicious and interesting. I would recommend the pistachio raspberry croissant.
Steak & Egg sandwich was good and I had to get two tacos afterwards because I was still hungry!
