El Castillo Mexican Restaurant reviews
13 Great food, I really loved everything. It was very tasty and flavorful, probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurant ever.
Service was ok, maybe because I didn’t speak Spanish? Lol
Honestly it didn’t bother me too much since the food was so good.
I discovered this place thru my Cousin's Wife.and she was right the food here is made Fresh and Plentiful, they don't skimp.the prices are right, the Waitress is really Nice and I have been coming here ever since. I came over here as a Substitute for another Mexican Restaurant that was still shut down due to CoVid 19.and it's a little Hidden Gem.that you'll probably miss if you walk to Fast! Try it and you'll agree w/ me. Let's help the Local Restaurants out!
We were trying to find a place to have a good breakfast. We were tired of the continental food in the hotel.
This place was open early so we went there. My wife had green chilaquiles and they were too greasy, eggs were good. I had the birria quesadillas, I was not impressed by them, they were too greasy and the consome was flavorless and salty. Also the coffee was too light and just warm.
I want to give it the benefit of the doubt but one thing I learned from san antonio was that food is not their main attraction.
A nice dive if you’re downtown, like to sit down, want something affordable and uncomplicated, and get a taste of good traditional TexMex.
Everytime we come to San Antonio we stop here and it is always good! Donna is amazing and very sweet. The food is authentic Mexican food which is awesome! It’s a great place to enjoy a hot cooked meal and carry on with your day! Def recommend!
P.s take beans and cheeses to go!
Great prices and handmade tortillas, salsa is thin but flavor is spot on. You won't find a better spot in the city for breakfast/lunch.
Loved this little place! Excellent breakfast tacos and our waitress was so nice. Highly recommend a detour from the riverwalk tourist traps!
Not bad but did not live upto the expectations set by the ratings. It's highly rated because it's quite affordable and good value for money.
I got breakfast tacos to go and they were great. Big portions. Good price. Will definitely come back as I live downtown.
Very awesome local Tex-Mex food. You’re gonna love this place! The chips and salsa are really good also. But the best thing in here is their sweet ice tea it is the bomb!
Food was just perfect! Lots of flavor and very simple! Serve was great she, was very polite and sweet! Will definitely be coming back!
When you see a main dirty door, you know, it won't be good and yep, I was right. Food is not good asada tacos and chicken undercooked. This place needs a full rebuilt.
Consistent and delicious food…each and every time! Owner is sweet and gracious and wait staff the best!
