First time car buyer here! Brad was the first contact me and I’m extremely thankful he did! Very professional and friendly. He got exactly what I was looking for and I got to go home with the car I was gleaming for!
Kamdon and Tommy helped set up all the finishing touches at the end, also super friendly and extremely knowledgeable in what they do! Overall an amazing first time experience, when you choose this dealership make sure to ask for them!

The whole service experience was great. Most importantly, the service was done in a timely manner. We will surely be going here to have both our cars serviced moving forward.

Sold us a lemon and ignored my messages when problems came up within 2 weeks of purchase. Bought a 2021 Bolt EV with 30k miles (in 2023), was assured the vehicle was serviced for the recall and there was no issues with the battery. The first time I tried to charge it I noticed that they capped the charging to 80% of the full battery capacity, meaning it only had a range of 198 miles when the spec sheet said 259 mile range. El Dorado ignored my inquiries about this. About 2 weeks in I get a service notification that the battery propulsion system is down, luckily I was able to get it in to a Chevy dealership more local to where I live and the vehicle was serviced under warranty (the whole ev battery had to be replaced). The new battery ended up increasing the range to 298 miles and so far has been running well since we got it back like a month ago.

Terrible service
Took my 2020 MX-5 Miata for an oil change and to review a clogged drain and had a horrible customer experience.
First the service advisors are not welcoming and not great to communicate with (zero customer service skills).
As I was driving away from the dealer after picking my car up I noticed the service wrench light had not been reset and I had to come back and spend an extra 40 minutes to go in and get it done for something that should be done systematically.
Also the car was returned filthy (courtesy washes are pretty standard in all other car brands).
Their pricing was ridiculous as they wanted to charge me almost $1K for unclogging the drain as they mentioned it required tons of labor to remove the seats, back panels, etc. This is clearly a design flaw by mazda and a deal breaker since clogged drains are pretty common on this convertible model.
Additionally they removed some panels which they left in bad positions and half taken off.
The only reason I put 1 star and not zero is because I liked the video format of giving you the quotes and being able to accept or deny with a click.
In summary this is the worst service experience I've had from any brand of cars I've owned.
I'm a hardcore Miata enthusiast so this is really disappointing.

The short: Mazdas remain amazing well built cars worthy of praise. Their dealers remain awful with a tendency to chronically lie. Expect it here at every step.

The Long:
I've never dealt with a Mazda dealer I'd describe as honest, upfront, or worthwhile and El Dorado continues that trend. My initial quote included accessories. Now Stephen was smart and only wrote those on the paper so the system would never show that happened. When he requoted me those were removed without a peep. Brought it up during pickup where Dillon had such an attitude with me, before offering to sell everything back, that I would have walked if I hadn't already paid. Dinged them on their survey. Get a call offering to "make it right. " A bribe of floor mats and cargo liner for a higher review. Talked with Tommy. Told him I'd consider it and asked for a new link. That never came so I used the old link to improve the rating. Went to pick up my plates. They said thanks you're good sent me on my way. Expect Stephen, Tommy, and Dillion to lie and cheat you at every step while trying to get a good review.

The best service and expwrience I have ever had. Drove in from Deming, New Mexico, vehicle was waiting g for me with all bells and whistles. Signed paper work and was on my way. Darin took the time to show me the awesome features this Mazda CX 90 had to offer with the top of the line model. I will never forget their great treatment A BIG THANK YOU!

Come for a simple oil change, make sure you make an appointment so you can wait 2+ hours. Make sure you have all day to sit around in a freezing wait room. Terrible experience

My first experience at El Dorado Mazda was when I bought my 2nd CX-5 from them. Naturally I came back in for my first service. Upon pulling into the service bay there was no signage or instructions and nobody came out to greet me at the car (this is a customer service standard I was familiar with at previous Mazda & VW dealerships.)

There was a service advisor outside taking photos and presumably intaking a car for service. She did not greet me nor acknowledge me with a simple “Someone will be right with you” …so I entered the service center where all of the advisers inside were also busy. I waited for a few moments but with such a small lobby it was awkward standing there not being acknowledged so I went back outside and I approached the first advisor. I inquired about what the process was for getting checked in for my appointment since this was my first time at their service center. She made a sly quip about having to do all of the work because the guys were too “busy”

…. At the time I brushed her comment off because I wanted to get in for my service, at this point it was 10 minutes past my appointment time. She asked me who I had spoken with to set my appointment, I told her that I did it on the app, to which she said “oh good” and input me as a customer under her name (Kari) in her tablet. She got me checked in and I inquired about the shuttle service which she said she would let me know when the driver was back…about 5 minutes later she did come and inform me that the shuttle was available but I told her that I changed my mind and would just wait for my truck.

I didn’t see her again for the rest of my appointment which I found off putting considering that I noticed the other advisors were coming and giving updates and checking in on their customers. About an hour and a half later I got the text with my vehicle diagnostic results and the request to confirm the charges. At this point I see my service advisor leaving out of the service area with her belongings…which I thought was strange but I figured she was simply preparing to leave after she finished my appointment and returned my vehicle to me.

From this point 25 minutes passed and I decided to see what was going on. When I entered the service area from the waiting room I see my truck is sitting at the exit, ready to go. I asked the first guy I saw if my car was ready…he asked who my advisor was and then another gentleman spoke up and said he had my paperwork and was trying to “fix” something that he caught.

Ultimately I never saw Kari again but the gentleman who checked me out did end up saving me $80 because he caught that I shouldn’t have been charged for my first oil change service since it was complimentary for me buying my vehicle there. Although the way in which he shared the information led me to believe Kari was frequently missing details like these.

Overall there was a huge lack of customer service and communication. Kari could have informed me she was handing me off to a new advisor. The new advisor could have informed me my vehicle was done but he was finalizing the paperwork. There didn’t seem to be a standard of excellence that they were striving for. After my appointment I got an automated text from the service manager inquiring about my experience, which I replied to and followed up with a call, but nobody reached back out.

I didn’t plan to leave a review, I was going to chalk the experience up as a lesson learned about where I would spend my money next time. However when Mazda sent a follow up email about leaving a review after they failed to give excellence service or follow up after I reached out about my experience I figured it was worth sharing here…maybe this is the only way things will improve.

Nobody enjoys going to the dealership and waiting for hours for service. The very least I expect as a customer is to feel like my patronage is valued. I’m grateful I saved money in the end but the lack of professionalism I experienced up until that point would make me want to go elsewhere in the future.

It was a pleasant experience working with William at El Dorado Mazda in McKinney. I did not have an appointment but they addressed my issue faster than anticipated. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. The coffee bar was less than stellar, dictating 4 instead of 5 stars.

Mark Jones is the best salesperson I have ever worked with. This is my 5th car to buy from him. If you want to work with a pro, ask for Mark

The only complaint I have is that it took three hours to have my car serviced, which consisted of changing the oil and rotating the tires. And I will as told that it would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

This is a great dealership. We got a good, friendly vibe from all the folks working here. They also have a good sales philosophy and treat people with kindness and respect in my experience. And most importantly, we’re very happy with the deal we got on our new Mazda3.

Thanks to Hassan, who proactive but not pushy, I was able to secure this car, which is a bit tough to get in the current market. He knew I wanted one and kept tabs on a shipment coming for me. Hassan was patient with all of our questions and concerns, and is very knowledgeable about these vehicles. We finalized the paperwork and finances with Brandon and like Hassan, he was kind, professional, patient, knowledgeable, and not pushy.

Of course, always do your homework so you know the exact breakdown of costs of each individual line item going into a car deal. But I’m very happy it wasn’t a struggle at all to negotiate a decent price, nor was there any obfuscation of fees or costs going into finance. Hassan and Brandon were great guys to work with. We left feeling perfectly at peace and knew exactly what we paid for. It was a simple process with these guys.

This is a solid dealership in my estimation, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a Mazda.

The service department at El Dorado Mazda was great. They got me in quickly and even got the software update I needed done in an hour. Very pleased with there work and speed of service. My service advisor William did a professional job telling me the status of the car while I waited.
