El Palenque Mexican Restaurant, Spring TX

This place used to be really good, now it's just ok. Got some nachos they were passable, like a C+ or B rating. I asked for onions and cilantro on them and they gave me one heaping plate of onions and another heaping plate of cilantro, like an absurd amount. Just kinda bummed at the mediocre food.

The fajitas was really good but the charro beans were awesome the margarita's need some work on them they were too sweet but everything else was good

Ugh I really wanted to like this place, everyone I know says its amazing but our experience the day we went about a month ago was not great. We went for a friends birthday, they got our drinks wrong many times and took forever to refill them, the tea tasted really off and everyone at our table who had it agreed. The green sauce was extremely watered down and tasted like guacamole water or something, very bland and very little taste. The queso wasn't hot, it was barely warm and the food overall was sub-par and barely any of us liked their dinner. Everyone else in the group had eaten there before and said it is never like this and some of them went back a couple weeks later and said the food was great.willing to try it again but its going to take quite a bit for me to change my review.

Passed this place a million times and never stopped. Decided to take a chance after reading the reviews and was not disappointed! Great selection of authentic Tex-Mex favorites and a great margarita. Salsa was fresh and service was awesome. It was busy, but there is open seating on the patio with plenty of shade and a slight breeze made it bearable in 90 degree Houston weather.

The food was tasty but. I do believe that I got food poising. Have been a few times without any issue but my girlfriend and I was both running to the bathroom a few hours later!

My family and I ate here for many years when we lived in Spring. Visited twice since including today 07/16/19 as we met long time friends there. Service was slow and the food just didn't have the same flavor.

Great food, great prices! Love sitting on the patio. Super glad they don't allow smoking in the bar area anymore.

Best in town and our waitress Jasmine is the best waitress and is a credit to the restaurant. Thank you be back soon.

The worst food ever this place needs to be shut down tea and water taiste like the water hose from outside fake tortillas horrible food will never go back also ac was out it was hot over paid 45.00 dollars for two could of gone to McDonald's instead

The food used to be great. This time it was very bland. The salsa was good but the chips were stale. The service was good so I gave it 3 stars but we won't go back.

Fresh homeade tortillas, decent food. Try the chorizo queso flamiado and watermelon margaritas, really good.

The food is good but I always end up sick. I have gone twice and each time I get real sick. Customer service is not that great. I think the churros are worth it but that’s about it.

We always have a large group. We usually visit the first Friday night of every month. And the staff is great and food is aways good.

It's a pretty good restraunt the thing that I don't like is we took our daughter there for her birthday but they don't have no cake or pies to sing into.

Everything is delicious but my Fav. El Tejano with Beef Fajitas and Corn tortillas and beef Tamales! Also the Chkn Caldo is so Good! Chips and Salsa is amazing! Everything is great here I've been coming since high school in the 90s that's how good it is! Sometimes there's a couple or a few sexy Waiters too and that doesn't hurt for Eye Candy lol!

I have been very disappointed with this place. I have been going for years. The food and staff are not anything They USE to be. Sad

Good food. They used to have good drinks but they recently changed them, so not so good anymore. The staff is mostly good but if they think you don't speak Spanish they make fun of you or call you names. The bar is non smoking.

Been visiting company since 05 best plate ever, wont change ot try to find it anywhere else.papa nachos.service once in a wild is good but keep going 4 papa nachos specially in September to celebrate bday

This place knows how to do fajitas! Fernando (my server) was awesome! Asked for a hotter salsa.he brought out the best stuff! So good.so full!
