18They were called out in 2019 to replace our pole. They left the old pole in my back yard adter installing the new one. Destroyed my lawn which they said would be fixed. Nothing. Here it is 4 years later and they now want to come back into my yard and destroy it and my new fence even more.
Worst Electric Company ever. My son has asthma which is also connected to his eczma that gets worse in the heat. They have been around this long and STILL have rolling blackouts. People are gonna die under their service. Haven't had electricity for 4hrs and their techs get to go home to A/C. Must be nice.
I asked for a smart meter nearly a year ago. Crickets. Ironically I am writing this during a power outage; our third this month. None of them came during storms or peak usage so who knows. Time to buy a generac perhaps.
Horrible service! Quick to cut off service over something that’s not the customers fault but SLOW! To turn power back on. What if it was you would it take as long! I didn’t think so. Wish I could give a -0 star! Unacceptable!
Power has been out for over 6 hours. Can't get anyone on the phone for an update. Website says nothing.
Try getting a hold of anybody after hours. Impossible. Horrible service, horrible company. Poor quality everything so upset that in NM we have to piggy back off such a broken Texas system. I’ve never seen a company legit not care about a single thing. They are on their own time and own universe. -10 if we could review like that. Get atleast one competent person there please
I have my autopay set up. Paid my bill on the 8th, they sent my money back on the 13th. I didn’t catch it, now they’re charging me for two months and a late fee.
My solar panels got installed since January of 2023 and they still haven’t installed the second meter. They keep coming up with excuses and now have taken me off of the budget billing and want 1000 balance paid up front and I have not even had them install the meter to activate my solar panels. Terrible service all around
Terrible experience & customer service. Do NOT enroll in budget billing unless you want to get stuck with a huge balance at the end of the year because they don't bill correctly.
If I could give no stars I would…. The budget plan is a joke. Their software gives an estimate, but if you go over their estimate they put it on a nice little “balance” sheet. At the end of the 12 months you are left with that balance to pay in full. They don’t call, or send a letter, or even a text to tell you “hey, you’ve got a balance”……everything I do is electronic and my payment is set up to come out automatically. Had I not had to get my drivers license updated, I wouldn’t have known I had a balance! I would have welcomed a shut off notice over this “surprise” balance due. To make matters worse, when I called to express my concerns I was literally laughed at. I was appalled. Who laughs at someone in distress!? !
I'm just trying to pay an old bill. If I had the account information I wouldn't need to speak to a representative. They make it impossible to speak to a live person.

Unfathomable that local authorities continue to allow the anticompetitive, unethical, and monopolistic framework and structure that has enabled this firm to price gouge local residents for decades.

I manage several rentals. Every time I start or stop service at one of my rental properties for some reason they come and shut off utilities to my primary home. This has happened more than once. Unfortunately we don’t have other options for electricity here in town. Customer service in not a priority for them.
In the past EP Electric was polite, but this time the rep didn't seem to speak English and did not understand what I was asking. Come on now, El Paso Electric at least hire people that can speak and write legible English to work with customers. With so many people looking for work, this is disgusting and inexcusable. I was conveying information and asking her to document this in my account which was not difficult.

Customers service operator/Agent was rude.twice I've dealt with agents/ Operator.both times been rude.sheesh.you'd think they'd hire better agents/Operator.guess since R. P. Elect.is only one in town.they people can talk to customers in a ride manner.and not hold them accountable.
