El Pirata Seafood Mexican Foodbar, San Antonio TX

Portions are not as advertised on menu. Price to food quality/quantity are not good compared to restaurants that offer similar menus across town.

The food is good. Menu could be more specific. I ordered a whole fish, not knowing. Prices are a bit high too. Place was rather empty and service was still very slow.

First time eating here. Food was delicious and proces are good. Excellent service from our waitresses. Will be back again.

Shrimp cocktail was very good. Ceviche had a terrible taste and I nearly got sick. Server spoke no English. Will not be back.

We are demanding when it comes to Del Mar food and I can say that the aguachile and breaded fish were definitely delicious! We liked the service. And the food is very fresh!

The seafood is fresh. The ceviches we had were outstanding and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was, i will be definitely going back.

We didn't taste the food because they didn't have catfish. When we have a taste for other seafood, we will try. It is pricey. Lemonade is good.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the waitress that help me has given me the best service I have had in a long time definitely recommend to anybody in the area

The fish tacos were delicious. The fried fish, shrimp and oysters were a big disappointment. The entire plate was cold, fries were cold The waitress offered to bring us a batch of freshly fried fries. She gave us the impression the fries were complimentary and They weren’t! She charged us for the fries. The waitress need a crash course on customer service. The girls were snarky and laughing at us when we were paying. I will not be coming back here but I’m sure the locals love their fish. Good luck!

Me and my friends went to this place and I have nothing to say about the food the ceviche was really good but when I payed my food and left the restaurant I noticed I was charged 9 dlls on my bill as tip that nobody told me about (the waitress tipped herself) and it’s not even about the money it’s just that she took money from all 4 bills (my friends and I) without saying anything and we had already left a tip at the table.

Shrimp quesadillas were very delicious and their green and red sauce were spicy and creamy. Really enjoyed my meal.

So I almost didn't come here because of the reviews about the not so friendly service. Sometimes you just have to experience things for yourself. My server Rosalva was wonderful, so if you go there ask for her. The food was delicious. The ceviche is top tier and I can't remember the name of the dish we had but it was one of the shareables with grilled seafood. I'll definitely be back.

We enjoyed the first two times we came. But the past two times the shrimp in the dishes was not flavored properly. Won't be returning anymore.

This is one of San Antonio's best kept secrets! The times that I have been here there has been no waiting. The food is amazing! It's different from all the other Mexican restaurants. If you're looking for something different this is the place! I would recommend that everyone give it a shot!
