El Pollo Rico reviews
26Good people and great food everything they have there on the menu is delicious everyone I know I tell to go there and eat because the food and people are wonderful
Love, love, love this place! I love everything here, but my favorite is the papa asada & piña agua fresca.
Bro. I accidentally ordered a second chicken. Wasn’t mad about it.
This place was unreal. Gotta eat here.
Plus the Horchata is the best I’ve ever had!
Chicken is delicious. Plenty of food for the price. Grilled onions, beans and rice are perfect sides.
They used to have 5 stars cuz of the chicken. Had to drop it to 3 due to they give the same salsa amount for half a chicken and a full. So it's my tacos fault that I ordered more food and will suffer with less salsa. It's not the tacos fault you can't get a supplier with bigger salsa cups. I even offer to pay more for 2 greens. They say yes while your ordering. Then they state they must give both. This is getting me even more frustrated. I'm dropping it to 2.
I have visited this location several times and every single time we get something wrong in our order. Twice I went back to get the order corrected. I love their food but now I have to dig through all that is ordered before I leave and that is not okay as I usually order for 5 people. Great food, horrible at following instructions.
We just found out about this place not too long ago and it’s amazing. The beans and bananas are by far my favorite.
Best Mexican food value for money. It's actually better than many more expensive place. Quick service also!
I haven’t been to a spot like this since I lived in California many years ago. Everything was awesome! I asked the cashier if the shakes were any good, and baby she didn’t lie when she said everything here is good ma’am lol. My 6 yr old said mom it smells amazing in there lol we will definitely be back
They have the most amazing Street tacos, their chicken is delicious, and their green salsa is the best in town.
If you are looking for roasted chicken and then some this is the spot. Baked potatoes, quesadillas, hamburgers everything on the menu is GREAT!
Always delicious mexican-style chargrilled chicken served with whole onion infused with incredible flavors. $9 lunch special includes half chicken and drink with 6 tortillas, rice and beans.
Love this place, always smells so good driving by! There is a door on the south side of the building that's actually another counter, so you can walk in!
Don't sleep on Pollo Rico! The only thing I order here is the Rico Bowl with chicken. If you're in the mood for a Chipotle-style "bowl", but with a Mexican take order the Rico Bowl. It comes with green salsa and lime and it's great. I've also had the half chicken, which was probably one of the best pieces of chicken I've had in Austin. Cooked perfectly and great on the corn tacos they give you.
Hands down this is the best rotisserie chicken in Austin. Be sure to get one of the onions to go with your order they're delicious
Awesome flame grilled chicken! If you order the half or whole chicken combo, they give you less rice and beans now. So if there is more than 2 adults eating ask for extra of each.
The whole chicken is amazing with the rice and beans. The green sauce should be renamed Green Crack. Breakfast tacos and traditional tacos always spot on.
The Rico Bowl is by far the best bachelor food in town. But if you need to feed the family, you can order by the chicken. The chicken is delicious. Don't go here for ambiance. This is a no frills chicken shack. If you want frills, go pay double at Fresas.
The girls who work at this location are very friendly and have good communication. The plates here are a very decent size. They really fill your plate. I love getting the carne asada plate because it comes with pico de gallo and grilled onions as well. The tortas they have here are also very good. The restraunt is a very good size and it doesn't get crowded even when it's crazy busy.
